My friend, the Beast, cancelled his mens’ clinic contract and is now using my endocrinologist. He started injecting 5 months ago as a normal looking lifter and he’s gotten stronger in most lifts, and grown impressive traps/shoulders/arms/chest on 150 mg/week. Hence, Beast moniker. He’s practically a biochemist and I’m quizzing him a lot. He injects every 3 days to approximate natural t production; side effects are reasonably rare with that schedule. I have an 80 year old gym friend who’s a live wire on 200 mg/once weekly, benching 240 regularly with his workout partners, one of which is on 245 mg/week. I suspect there are a lot of guys on this stuff, considering there are 5 men’s clinics in my town of about 400,000 population.
I like the Beast.

Wednesday is shot day. Practically effortless. Gym afterward, no effects. One guy wrote on youtube that he’s now deadlifting 800, women getting near him become pregnant, and he levitates. I think he’s taking something different.

TRT 3rd shot was on yesterday’s rest day, and I finally read the prescription and discovered I’m taking 200 mg doses. Except for Tuesday’s workout which was best leg workout I’ve had in years, I had not felt anything else until today. The 205 pulldowns and near constant libido which began around 2 this am pretty much confirm this was TRT breakout day. I’ve gained 5 lbs without increased waist size, and pre 3rd shot benching this week was remarkably easier with my max weight of 180 lbs.
I should have tried incline bench w/70s but I didn’t realize the change until pulldowns.
I have now. Determined to bench for reps in about 240 range. I’ll be 75 in May.

The experiment continues. I’m a bit more outgoing in gym and at work. Already outgoing, I’m now quizzing (a) pipefitter looking guys who can tear up 3+ inch thick telephone books, and (b) Judges and testy/crusty lawyers. Fights in my future? I have a 2 month old, full, white beard. I now have sensitive nipples; I’ve started wearing my leather biker jacket to work. Wife, and other women, are starting to notice. I admit I look something like a smart, tough pipefitter. I’ve increased my protein intake by having a protein shake with about 6 egg whites for breakfast, and I’m adding egg whites to my tuna & tomato juice lunch shakes. Despite walking mile before gym most mornings, and drinking excess water, I’ve gained 6 lbs in last 2 weeks. I expected about a l0 lb water weight increase initially before trt starts pulling off leftover fat from my 25 lb weight drop.
At gym I’ve had to remind myself to try heavier weights since I don’t feel any difference at all, no superman bursts. Deadlifted 345 for first time in awhile. I’m upping weight l0 - 20 lbs at a time, nothing foolish. I warm up for major lifts and only post my work sets.
Really looking forward to next week’s workouts.
