Friggin’ strong squat! Looked like you had more in you. I believe you mentioned starting to squat in oly shoes. How do you like 'em? I’m thinking about picking up some adidas powerlift trainers (or something to that effect) as I feel a little more comfortable with an elevated heel. [/quote]
Love the oly shoes. I’m wearing them for everything. It’s like my feet are sunk in concrete
Thought I’d try something different and superset hip thrust w/ deadlifts; as you can see that only lasted 2 sets. And on the 440 deadlift, my right knee made a crunchy sound on lockout. It’s never done that before, so I called it a night. I guess every session can’t be great…
Thats why I DL in sleeves. I have destroyed my knees over the years so that crunchy sound is standard issue around these parts. Sleeves seem to help though.
Z-press:
45 x 10
70 x 5
85 x 5
105 x 5
145 x 5
155 x 3
165 x 1
Threw in some light weight rotator cuff thingys just for the heck of it. Coming up on a deload week so you may not hear much out of me unless I do something really cool or really stupid (my money’s on the stupid)
said i wouldn’t post this week unless i did something cool or stupid, fortunately (surprisingly?) it was something cool. thanks to my new lifting coach, i got to squat in a monolift for the first time:
