What did you think of the wraps and the monolift?[/quote]
The knee wraps caught me off guard at first; LP really torqued them down. Once I got used to them I grew to like them. The monolift is o.k… Thanks to previous comments here I’ve got my walkout down to two steps, so I could go either way.
Alrighty, little over a week out, and all i’m really doing is trying to not hurt myself. not going heavy, warmup sets, some pushups, pullups; nothing worth posting. i’ll go weigh in the 27th and i’ll post how fat i am.

Lifting in the 275 class again. Priority #1 after this meet is conditioning.
Helped Jesse unload everything, so I’m warmed up and ready to go.
Helped one guy with his rack height. I casually asked ‘So how heavy do you think you’ll go?’; he replied ‘Oh, in the 700’s’. Punk kids; no respect for their elders.
And heard somebody - didn’t catch the name - is going to have a 1000 lb opener on the squat.
Squat : 450, 480, 510
This was after I missed a 405 during warmups; that totally messed with my head. The 510 went up so easy the head judge fussed at me for going too light.
Bench: 375, 410, miss at 440
It seemed like I waited forever for the press command on the 440, and I lost my tightness. Still a 10 pound meet pr.
Deadlift: 480, 520, 560
I could’ve hit 570; this went great.
I came in second and normally I wouldn’t care, but first place got sword trophies.
I learned metrx protein bars make me gassy.
Big thanks coach Lp for all the pointers and for wrapping my knees.
@joe: right now, I’m planning on going to the nationals, but I’ve got to get to a lower weight class; I’m tired of lifting w/ the big boys. If i can get down to 242, I’ll definitely be there
