as long as that inol score is right
Can we go back to the part about front to back and side to side?
Happy to do a charity bet. $100 to a charity of your choice paid by me if you get there and $100 to a charity of my choice paid by you if you dont.
Measurement has to be as a youtube video where you use a tape measure against something standard and you show the taughtness of the tape right around.
Post a measurement of your current neck measurement so we can all agree that is a valid way to measure so no arguments later…
I google circumference - I think I get it now.
But to quickly ensure I understand what’s going on here, please fill in any gaps.
- In Rate My Physique, you posted a before picture of your boyfriend putting you in a headlock, and a weird after pic your neck.
- You want us to rate your neck. I think.
- Your primary goals are to increase your neck size and improve your bench press
- You’re arguing your knowledge and experience based on increases in deadlifting 100 lbs to 200 lbs (or somewhere around there) in 6 months with guys who deadlift 600lbs
- You believe you have it down better than Jim Wendler and 1,000’s of other proven lifters.
- So confident that you’re right, you’re willing to bet money you won’t be successful by using a different approach. I think?
- You use the term ownd
If much of the above is correct, perhaps you see why this thread is not going well.
Edit: forgot to add that you posted a screenshot of how quickly you can type.
On a more serious note, it’s crazy what a different time we live in. With the risk of a ‘get of my lawn’ moment, consider the tools and resources this kid has access to that didn’t exist 20 years ago. The ability to directly ask experts for advice, including the man that developed 5/3/1 and receive a customized, direct answer. 20 years ago you had magazines and maybe (maybe) could find someone with more experience to ask questions or get help from.
This thread collectively has, I don’t know, guys in their late 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s with probably 200+ years of lifting experience. Instead of showing respect and trying to earn some, this kid is calling those trying to help ‘retards’.
TLDR: Son, you have access to wonderful resources. Use them! Disagreements are great, but showing some respect to those older and wiser is even greater. If you prefer your methods, you may enjoy Bodybuilding.c*m more.
Why is it that old folks always seem to forget that kids in their teenage years tend to rebel against authority in a seemingly suicidal manner?
Regarding neck training, just be patient & careful. You could be at risk of becoming overzealous & impatient, trying to prove something to T-Nation - not the best idea when dealing with neck training & the cervical spine IMHO. I used to do all kinds of neck work with my “A Headstrap Fit For Hercules” from IronMind. So easy to get carried away with it and lift too much. After pushing the weight for a few months, neck (stabilized) deadlifts with plates on a loading pin made my cervical spine “sting” for months. That sh*t was pretty scary TBH.
This is the harness I have, lmao (that’s not me):
peace
While searching google images for trapezius+football photos, stumbled upon this old gem & it reminded me of the OP’s neck photo, solid neck development:
Ridiculous neck development: Takeo Spikes
Man that is insane. In boxing, sometimes i’d punch people in the neck if they got dirty in sparring. I don’t think a punch to the neck would phase a dude like that, it’d be like punching someones torso. His neck looks solid af.
Also a warning, do not search “huge neck” on google images.
peace
This thread gave me fucking diabetes
Is that like diabetes that is sexually transmitted?
Jeez and i thought i had raging hormones!
Yeah actually. It’s even worse than gornorrsyphillitis B
I’m sorry about your unmanly toothpick.
I wish I had aesthetic masculine neck insertions…
I did it… I regret nothing.
Envious of all the good feedback in this thread. If I post pics of my skinny neck and argue back with everyone will I get more responses in my own physique thread?
So @strongmangoals, who is the lucky charity of your choosing?
Because by the lack of reply from chode neck over here, I doubt the frankenweiner grew to 18"…
Extremely long-term lurker here. I was looking into my next phase of training when I came across this gem from another thread. Just was curious if there was ever any result determined. Wanted to know if a charity was ever donated to and if this kid actually ever learned ANYTHING from the discussion with these respected lifters.
