5x5 vs 5/3/1?

Who said this is wrong? I gained close to 100lbs naturally training like that when I was younger. 3 years ago when I started lifting again I gained another 40lbs naturally. You are reading too much shit on the internet.

Your problem is that you have read too much shit and now you don’t believe in what you are doing, thinking there’s always a better, more optimal method out there.

now u saying 1 muscle spilt like chest day etc works? then why r we here? talking 5x5 full ody?

define condthions… caardio ?? was tld it eats muscle and power

Conditioning is very hard work that gets your heart rate up very fast. I like heavy kettlebell swings, but I’m also old, fat and not particularly nimble. Hill sprints, prowler pushes, sled drags, complexes these are all conditioning too.

I agree with dt79. You are overthinking things and making them more complicated than they need to be. Pick something and do it. 5/3/1 is great but so are many other methods.

Do hard work and force your body to be able to do more hard work than you could before. Eat. Sleep. Grow.

The way I see it, you have 2 options.

  1. Go to your brother’s gym and find people you want to look like. Train with them and ask them how they eat. This also solves your diet problem since you will be able to get advice on what type of food IN YOUR COUNTRY you will be able to eat that none of us have much knowledge of.

  2. Choose a program with a built in plan for increase in weights. 531 is fine. It was written by a guy with a 1,000lb squat. It will probably work.

not u in gernal… but i was told to do so in the same article above … what u thik then man

they tell me to eat alot and lift 1 muscle a day with tons of angels the muscle… and enject strioed… the 5 3 1 simply i dont like… what about push pull leg split… i kinda like it and u hit muscle twice a day… the eating this is porblem too… how much carb how much protien… a guy above told 1 gram for 1 lb my weight thats 180 gram protien… yolk is bad or not… i wanna know these and pelase answer it …cardio will burn my muscle the tabta thing or not… using barbell cuz i enjoy it… btw guys in gym dont do cardio at all and the huge ya but got bellys of fat …

The article I linked you to in no way told you to do 5x5. I do not appreciate that accusation.

The article does not tell you to do a fullbody program. I understand you have trouble understanding English so I will try to explain how it works the best I can.

Example: Bench Press

Your max for 1 rep = 80kg
Your training max = 72kg(90% of your max)

You calculate the weight for the 5/3/1 exercise based on your training max(72kg).

Set 1 = 75% of 72kg = 54kg
Set 2 = 85% of 72kg = 61.2kg
Set 3 = 95% of 72kg = 68.5kg

So…

Day 1

A. Bench Press
54kg x 5, 61.2kg x 3, 68.5kg x MAX reps to failure

The rest are assistance exercises that you can select yourself or follow one of his templates.

Day 2

A. Squat

Same as above

Day 3

A. Military Press(Overhead press standing)

Same as above

Day 4

A. Deadlift

Same as above

Follow what is written in the article first. If you do not understand certain parts, copy and paste them here so we know what you are talking about. It is also hard for us to understand you sometimes.
