5x5 Log, While Not Eating Enough

My “goal” was really just some metric I could use for if the program worked or not. It did. I’m going to keep doing it until it doesn’t. At least, a variation of it.

I really want to gain some strength while I lose fat. It’s possible, I know it is. I may try a more extreme calorie cycling approach. Right now I consume ~360 calories more on training days due to Surge. I may double this, and subtract 360 calories from my next day.

I’m considering just reseting the whole program, which will be my deload, and redoing it with slightly different parameters - even less volume, with higher intensity. 5 sets of 3, or some shit.

The Surge basically just replaces the caalories you burn during the workout. Why don’t you up your carbs in the meal just before and just after the workout in addition to the Surge? It should give you more energy, help you build some muscle and boost your metabolism.

For the reps you might want to cycle the reps like 5x3 on Monday, 4x6 on Weds and 3x10 on Friday or some shit.

Week 9, Friday.

Weight: 171.5 (Heh. Needle wouldn’t stay still.)

Yeah, I skipped a workout this week. This is officially a “deload” week. I’ll be starting a new program next week. I’ll figure out exactly what I’m doing this weekend.

I wanted to really test my strength today, so … I did. Volume was drastically lowered, and I took my time.

Deadlift:
225x3
275x3
325x2
365x1 (15lb PR!!!)
385x0 (I was getting cocky. My hips weren’t having it.)
315x3

Military Press:
95x3
115x3
150x2 (I really wanted 3, here.) PR!
135x5

FS:
135x3
165x3
195x3
225x3 (I coulda had more, but I was afraid of bursting a vein and dying.) PR!

Chin ups:
bwx3
bw + 25x3
bw + 45x5 (PR! By 3 reps!)

Welp. Yeah, I dunno. I let a girl affect my workout, and I kicked some ass. Thanks, baby.

you are more than welcome… as you’ll see on my post, I do believe you made me a little stronger today as well. Thanks!
