how did we in America ever become such pussies?

Didn’t they invent the computer, the airplane, antibiotics and the ipod in Thailand?

I guess not, but they have a thriving child prostitution trade.

same could be said about china, but hey they are the rising superpower in the world.

I wonder why you keep posting? Is it the fact that at the age of 18 you just don’t know any better?

What was the point of this comment? China has some of the worst prostitution in the world, yet in a few years they will be one of the major super powers-they already are, but will be #1-. Oh yeah they train their kids from a very early age also, guess thats why they have so many olympic athletes.

Get with the times, you don’t start training kids at 15 and hope they become professionals. All sports are not 100% safe, especially as a professional you will leave banged up. Thats why basketball players retire by 30-40, football same sometimes younger from forced injuries. In order to be a professional you have to take risks. Though doctors would have it so that we all just sit at home and eat, since its ‘safe’ That kid probably doesn’t grow up in the best neighborhood I bet-which is true with most great athletes-, so its actually safer that he is training rather the playing outside in gang/drug infested neighborhood.

I bet I could kick that kids ass.

Just sick of your immature blather. And judging my a few of your other posts you spread it around pretty thick. I just had to get a better glimpse of the mind behind the shit is posted by you. Maybe I just wanted to see if it was just this one topic that you had your head up your ass on. Then again maybe I just wanted to see if I was right about guessing that you were a 18 or 19 year old…Either way, I picked up a few of your gems…

like:

“Yoga is just glorified stretching.”

Here’s a another:

“…some people smoke several packs a day and never get lung cancer and live till their 90’s some die young. Most smokers don’t get lung cancer and die.”

A snippet from your most recent post:

"… its actually safer that he is training rather the playing outside in gang/drug infested neighborhood.

Now…why didn’t the rest of us think of that? Ha…ha

I love the entry where you tell everyone that you’re 18 years old 6’7 and 270lbs. Ha ha…the Internet…gotta love it.

Troll on kid…I’m done with you.

what was the point of this? You just quoted some random things and didn’t even comment on them. I don’t need to lie about my stats, I don’t have a low body fat so thats why my weight is high.

The fact is others agree that you sound like a pretentious asshole with your ‘trolling’

It simply comes down to that you find training young to be dangerous, while others and myself disagree. You free to your opinion, realize that many have trained young and came out better because of it.

All good points…But…not one word has produced anything even resembling an argument for allowing 7 year olds to strike each other in the head repeatedly for sport. The best sports medicine available on the planet should still be adhered to.
Where in my post was I “arguing for 7 year olds to strike each other in the head repeatedly for sport”?

Someone mentioned something about “not one word producing anything even resembling and argument”

But since you’re trying to reel me in and speaking of sports medicine, I’m yet to read your trails of journal articles and research proving children padded up in their safety gear suffering from irreversible damage because of strikes to their heads. Or perhaps you assumed that these kids are being put in the ring against other kids 3 times their weight.

It’s one of the biggest reasons why compared to the rest of the world we suck at strength sports, and fighting. Too things that require a lot of pain early on.
HUH? What? Most of the greatest boxers to ever live have grown up in the US. I’m not sure what you’re talking about with regards to “strength sports” either. Maybe olympic lifting? Strongman? Well, these are just sports that the people in the US aren’t that interested in. It’s not rocket science to figure out why there’s not a lot of great US athletes in these sports.

that kid has amazing talent i just hope it doesnt go to waste. for a 5 year old he sounds like he hits hard. i wish my hands were that good

Head trauma is not good and should be minimalised. Shizen, I agree that there are other sports that are far more porlific and violent on the injuries front. However, nothing can match boxing for sheer repetitive head trauma; science has long since proven this to be most damaging to the brain.
Furthermore, a childs athletic development will be optimal if they are trained in a variety of sports up to the age of 13 and trained specifically afterwards.
So there is no legitimate argument for this kid to fight at 8.
