Took the weights down a bit to where they ought to be, except for hang snatches. Been pushing near maxes as it is and need to back off a bit. Legs still feeling the running from yesterday but the front squats didn’t present any problem. Hang snatches were harder, in fact.

I was actually supposed to do 170 but I couldn’t stand it. I do have to quit testing my maxes off the cuff though. Test cycles and recover from them need to be planned. I need to stick to my regular 90%/80% of max with 2.5 and 5 lb increases or I start overdoing again. The PR’s will come if I’m patient.
Finally got down to the beach with my 5-gal buckets and filled 'em up with some really fine grained sand. It was fun farmer’s walking them off the beach to the car. I’m going to fill 'em with some water too, make a platform in the backyard with my cinderblocks, tires and planks and do some volume loading and unloading with them at some point.

This is all I got done today, because the usual Sunday schedule got moved up a few hours. I’ll hit high anderson squats tomorrow. Or I won’t. Bench was solid, if not exciting. Not going to be any PR’s for a month or so, so it’s gonna be boring reading…

Thats some nice rowing DCA. I don’t think I could keep 265 stable enough to Pendlay row it.
Weeeeeeelllllll, it starts as a pendlay row and then begins to look more like a low clean pull on reps 4 and 5, but it makes my upper back grow, so I dinnae care tha’ mooch 'boot the form. I’m thinking about just doing chest supported rows going forward though. It’d keep the weights honest, I guess, I seem to get even more upper back stimulation from them and my low back doesn’t get overworked.
thought this was gonna be borin’ for a while over here! What happened?
Nice PRs!
Yeah - it kinda took me by surprise when the 365 was easy. I thought that I was actually going to go backward on these a little onthese today. I guess the alternation of them high and at parallel is working. It all seems to be working if I don’t push too hard too fast. I had more in the tank but stopped there.

Anderson’s are tough…good job. You have inspired me to put these back in the rotation.
And, nice job coordinating your new shoes and shirt. You catering to your admirers on youtube again?

It’s all guys these days, if that. I was the French cougars, due to settings I’d made in my YouTube profile and the amount I was re-watching the videos. Y’know - checking form and all. Just checking form.

You are still inspiring the rest of us to avoid the sun and lift more.

Too kind as always, El. I’ve missed your “bright side” presence.
