5/3/1 BBB bench and squat only

Hey all, this is my first post, long time lurker.

I have been following 5/3/1 as written with the triumvirate assistance template and have seen some good gains.
However throughout my training I have made good progress benching and squatting twice a week.
My conditioning consists of pushing the prowler (brought myself one a few weeks ago) and pulling/pushing my 4x4

My training week looks like this

Monday: light conditioning
Tuesday: press
Wednesday: bench/conditioning
Thursday:rest
Friday:deadlifts
Saturday squats/conditioning
Sunday: conditioning

My week is set up like this due to being away at work from Monday to Thursday night, and having no access to a squat rack.
Also the bars at my work gym can only handle around 150kg, so they are no good for deadlifts.

My question is, has anyone tried doing the following?

Press with triumvirate assistance
Bench with BBB squats
Deadlifts with triumvirate assistance
Squats with BBB bench

So that has you doing lower three sessions in a row. You can squat and bench 2x using BBB variation 2 (listed in both books and on this site).

Squat 5/3/1, Dead BBB (or trium)
Bench 5/3/1, Press BBB (or trium)
Dead 5/3/1, Squat BBB
Press 5/3/1, Bench BBB

Due to my working week and access to facilities, my week has to go
Bench
Press

Squat
Dead
Or
Dead
Squat

I would do the full body template. It has you squatting 3 days a week, and benching two (one is the 5/3/1 sets/reps, the other is DB bench, or just lighter bench if you want).

My strength and size increased very well on this split. There is no fluff here, just squatting, benching, pressing and pulling. I cannot recommend this template enough!

Sorry, I missed the “no access to a squat rack” part of the OP. That’s the problem with reading this stuff on a cell phone, sometimes I miss things.

After thinking of a couple different possibilities, you are going to have to find another gym or another way to do this correctly/smart. It doesn’t do you or the program any good to compromise. When you compromise, both parties lose.

Suck it up and wake up earlier on Monday! Then you can use any template.

I have access to a a squat rack on the weekends, and I can use a bench for some lighter squats in the week.
DAVE101, I already get up at 2:30 am on a Monday. I drive two hours and then do a twelve hour shift. So not much chance of fitting anything else in on that day.

Thanks for the reply Jim. I have access to a proper gym on Friday through to Sunday. So that’s when I do my squats and deads.
Through the week however I am 2 hours from the closest decent gym, and I work 12 hours a day. So I’m trying to make the best of the facilities available to me through the week.

Why don’t you just do the program as written? You don’t need to squat two times/week to get better. That has been proven by hundreds of thousands of lifters and unless you are a 3x bodyweight squatter without any gear, you might want to take some cues/advice from people that have been there instead of being stuck with training dogmas that don’t serve your current lifestyle.

Sometimes I can’t figure people out - seems strange to me.
