5/3/1 BBB Accessory Confusion

What’s up T-Nation? I just joined up to the site and I’m new to 5/3/1 so my knowledge is limited to what I’ve read on the Fitness wiki on Reddit. I need to get the book but waiting a couple of weeks until I get paid.

On to my question:
In the 5/3/1 for beginners mother oriocalls for doing two main lifts followed by 3 accessory lifts that compliment the main lifts and on leg days, sticking mainly to ab work or some other light leg work. What accessories work should be done on the BBB program? There is a ton of differing opinions out there and it’s left me confused. On Jim’s website for BBB he says to do one main lift 5/3/, BBB 5x10, and then one accessory such as lat work on bench days. Is this correct? It looks a little light to me. Boring But Big

Thanks in advance.

You definitely want to get the book, as the process has evolved quite a bit since that article was released. If you’re in doubt though, check out “BBB Beefcake”, where Jim has prescribed assistance work. It’ll take out any guess work.

Cool thanks. I’ll check it out. There’s so many variations out there that I’m starting to get information overload and confused as heck on how to do this program.
