I am 49 and while I used to lift regularly for sports I have spent the past ______ years letting life and the aging process kick my ass. I am now all in on trying to stave off disaster for as long as possible. I have had well over a dozen orthopedic surgeries as well as recently being diagnosed with low T (for which I now give myself weekly injections). I will be logging workouts as well as posting the occasional video to let people have a reference point for laughter.

I wish you the best. I’m fighting uphill against my blood sugar levels and aging knees, too.
I started about three years ago at 50, 6’1", 220 at 25% bodyfat. Made some gains, stalled, got on TRT, got back on the gain train. Currently 190 at 14% BF.
It’s going to take a while, so be patient. If you make it a habit, you’ll get there.
