If I had to spot a weakness, maybe your chest, or it might be your posing.? Your shoulders and arms are amazingly dense. I gave you an 8. Keep us posted on your progress man, it’s inspirational.

Mighty Stu how did you do?? Was this your 1st contest?? Could you give me some tips!!!
Well, I did keep a whole thread on here ('bout 40,000 views last time I checked -lol) if you want the particulars…
Yes, it was my 1st show and I took
1st Heavyweight Novice
1st Novice Overall
1st Masters 35+
3rd Middleweight Open
So it wasn’t a bad haul to say the least
as far as tips,… I guess the better tips I could offer would be:
-Train for mass, or you will surely lose muscle from dieting
-Rotate your cals and carbs. a steady daily diet will allow your metabolism to downshift faster
-Do as little cardio as possible, but when you do, make it count (I like intervals)
-Carry your food. Your ‘friends’ will derail you whether they mean to or not
(I brought a cooler with me to a super bowl party!
-Green Veggies are your friends
-Realize which foods make you feel full and which ones don’t.
-Compare your poses and condition to the guys at the top of the game, not other newb competitors or amateurs.
Here ya go,… (I think -lol). It started off with me just posing a few questions, and then kinda grew into a ‘peek into my decision making’/blog sort of thing. Apparently a low of folks took a real interest, which is cool because it sort of made me accountable.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have. It’s a lot easier for me to give advice now that I’m on the ‘other side’ of the contest and can look back with some objectivity as to what worked, and what I could have altered.
I’m impressed with your arm size. I think your biggest issue really is just in presenting yourself. Work a bit in front of the mirror. For example, look at how you made your shoulders disappear in the MM shot. This may be asking a bit much but I’d like to see some more mass on the calves because I feel you could do it. Stay young!!

I plan on doing a contest in June 2010, please rate me and point out my weak areas.[/quote]
Well, to me, you’re physique is awesome - men our age can build awesome muscle - my pics will be loaded as soon as I get home tonight.
The only thing I could say is the pecs need a little more fullness. My problem is the delts. I can’t seem to get them like cantelopes.
But overall, you’re physique is awesome - especially the quads.
Where are you going to buy your posers? I found (and I was referred by Rusty Jeffers) mine at www.nu-parr.com. You can pic your fabric, colors, etc. and nu-parr is the ONLY company you can get posers unlined. Man, makes a difference when you’re on stage. Let’s the poser hug your body so they don’t wrinkle or look too big.
Hope to chat with you buddy.
