45M on 200mg TRT

I’ve been on 200mg Test for about a year. Very well tolerated and have good bloods. The last 6 months or so I’ve been dealing with joint issues relating to my lifting. I’ve tried several different things to solve this tennis elbow. My shoulder is mostly back to 100% but I can feel some artifacts on occasion from whatever the heck I did to it. But the tennis elbow has become chronic.

I’ve read that Deca can aid in joint repair and thought maybe this would be good for me to try. My question is, would Deca help? And in what does to take it as more of a joint therapeutic as opposed to a bulking agent?

I wouldn’t mind any extra bulk but the main thing is joint health. The thing I really want to avoid is raising my test dose. What kind of dose to use knowing this? Thanks!

Deca masks joint issues. It may give you some relief from aches and pains but it does not repair anything.
Have you had a diagnosis on your knee pain?

What have you tried so far?
Assuming this is just inflammation you could try a BPC157/Tb500 stack to see if you can knock the swelling down.

My theory is that one day 50-100mg of deca might be standard in TRT mix for old folks like me. I don’t think you need even 200 for joints - 50-100. Despite the masking perhaps effect, it works for me. But your elbow issue, I deal with, will be managed best by ice routine and choice on lifting in various ways. And when you resolve it, it can go away. Deca addition can create own issues. I love it.

I recently added 60mgs a week of deca to my TRT (prescribed by my Dr) It did wonders for the chronic wrist issues I’ve been dealing with. I stopped after only 8 weeks because of the side effects and my wrist pain returned within a few weeks.

First of all thanks for the responses! Awesome feedback! I’ve lowered my volume overall and adjusted some of the specific movements that seem to trigger it.

My E2 is probably on the high side at around 56. From my research low e2 can reduce lubrication and joint integrity so I don’t take anything other than a 300mg DIM supplement. I have no other adverse sides from e2 other than a little bacne that I treat with salicylic acid based spray that seems to work pretty well.

I recently learned a buddy of mine was prescribed deca (I think 100mg/wk) from his clinic for similar issues and he’s about ten years older than I am. I’m 45, someone asked this.

I think my next step will be to get with my clinic doc and explore the possibility of legit deca at a low dose. Thanks again for all of the thoughtful responses. You guys are great!!!

Someone else I know at the gym recommended this as well. I will look into this though I heard this higher maintenance and a more costly approach. I’ll see what my clinic doc thinks of this option. Ty!
