4 days workout

Hey all, i train 3 days a week, Monday chest biceps, Wednesday back and tri, Thursday shoulders and legs.
My question is can i add one day as a mix workout? 3 sets of each muscle on Saturday? Would it affect my muscles growth in a negative way or would it be beneficial? Thanks a lot for your assistance in advance.

It depends entirely upon your ability to recover.

That said: why not follow a program built by someone who knows what they are doing, vs try to wing it on your own?

The thing is that i really feel that after 6 months i am able to take it to a new level.

That sounds like the perfect time to follow a well designed program and achieve that new level.

This seems strange.

Sure.

Sure. Push/legs/pull/whole body.

Standard questions:

What are your goals?
Height and Weight?
1 RM in the main lifts?

180cm 80kgs 100g of protein per day minimum.
Chest shoulders back and legs 12 sets each 10 reps
Biceps triceps 9 sets each 10 reps
Just wondering an extra 3 sets per muscle on Saturday would it harm?

No. Do 6 sets.

You could also just do your next workout on Saturday.

Recovery depends on stress levels, sleep, job (desk job? physical labor?), age is a big factor. Do you need to take it to the next level? or are you bored? Plus taking it to the next level is vague. After six months, what has your progress been? You gave everyone your reps per workout, but what exercises are you using? Detail is needed, otherwise you might as well ask the Magic 8 Ball.

Double your protein.
