Back squat 525 when he was 16
Front Squat 400 this past week

Seems OH squat is retardedly high relative to his front squat number. Not that that’s a bad thing, just not usual…OH squatting 98% of your best front squat? That’s a very strange thing.

Props for the narrower OH grip too. Also unusual.

I noticed that, too. I’m guessing that the front squat is deeper? Either way, freaky numbers for such a light/young guy.

He practices his overhead squat each week. He also does a lot of Overhead Yoke Carries. The yoke is 215 lbs. without weight added to it. Usually carries it 60 feet starting with yoke then adding weight each round. Usually finishes around 350 lbs.

The narrow grip is an adjust he has had to make due to an injured wrist. The snatch grip bothers his wrist right now so using the narrow grip for now seems to work him.

Yes he does. His snatch is 240 lbs. and his clean n jerk is 305. He’s also a certified Oly Coach at my gym.
