$370 Million Lottery Drawing

If any of you play the lottery, just wanted to let you know the Mega Millions Lottery is for 370 Million and the drawing is tonight.

Mega Millions is played in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Here’s a link http://www.megamillions.com/

And against Shugs advice, I wish you good luck.

Yeah, we had a pretty decent lottery thread going a few weeks ago.

If I’m remembering the actual odds correctly, $2 is a sound investment.

People at work are creating all kinds of lottery pools. I bought a ticket. People always say "what are the odds of winning?? But I figure someone who says the same thing wakes up a millionaire.

Wasting $2 is better than the horror of coming in to an empty office the next day…

That my biggest fear, that I would be the one bastard sitting at my desk crying inside the rest of my life.

I had my 5 y/o with me yesterday when I bought a few quick picks. He was asking all kinds of questions about it. It’s hard to explain the lottery to a little kid!

We have all sorts of plans made for when we win. I promised I would buy him a cannon (don’t ask). I told him we would be getting a new house, car, and best of all… a nanny! :stuck_out_tongue:

We’re doing the same thing at my office; I’m in charge of Operations, and I got to thinking about the operational risk of losing everyone on the floor at once. Funny to hear others say the same thing.

Anyway, the odds of winning when the pot was $355 were 1:176M. I’m feeling pretty safe at the moment.

I’d keep working, but I’d be a lot harder to deal with…

You have to wonder how many times THAT has happened…could you imagine…

Attention: There will be only one teacher at work in the Mathematics Dept tomorrow…and its NOT me!

A cannon…that’s funny. I’m all for the nanny. I’ll have to remember that one. I’m kind of partial to long legged Norwegian nannies myself.

I remember when a local news anchor won the lottery. He would always mention if I would win the lottery I would do this and I would buy that. Well, he and a friend one day bought some tickets and won. He took everyone from the news room for dinner and took some close friends to the super bowl. And of course, he retired from work.

I once saw him renting movies and you can tell this guy is living a nice life style, he let his hair grow long kind of like Fabio, nice watch, jewelry, and a pretty sweet Benz. Must be nice.

All the time. In the lottery, everybody wins!

Nice! This thread just reminded me – I don’t have to go to work tomorrow. In about an hour I’ll be officially retired! Yeeee-haaaaaa!!! (Bought 20 picks).

In it to win it, baby!!!

This would elicit, in the direction of my boss, the biggest “Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck YOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!” ever heard in the western hemisphere.

Your screwed, once you buy above 1 you arn’t winning. Its always the guy who goes in for milk, sees the lotto is 370 million and buys one ticket thinking he wont win. (aka me)

That’s funny, I just bought a scratch off ticket right now at the grocery and won 2 bucks. That’s a start.

So what happened last night? Anyone retiring today?

Only from public life.

I guess we’ll have to hold on to the early retirement celebration and shopping sprees. They think the winner is from Georgia and was an employee at a carpet factory.
