Thanks man. Yeah I’m getting ready to play college ball next year.

i guess “ball” means a different kind of ball in the south.

im guessin yall talkin about football but on the east coast anytime someone talks about ball its always basketball.
I played basketball, but through the power of deduction I figured he didn’t. He looks young, and anyone that young puting up that weight probably plays ball. So when you add the two together… You get my initial question.

Awesome work man, I’d be interested to see how light you are on those feet. Someone already mentioned it but you’re a damn good sized 20 year old FB.

Good luck with everything.

screw you and youre deductive reasoning.

basketball players are usually weak as shit anyway. not exactly easy to bench press when your ROM is like 4 feet.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.
I’ve been away from football for two years, so need to work on the agilities. My fastest time in the 40 two weeks ago was a 4.88…trying to get it to the low 4.7’s at 275-280lbs and I think I’ll be straight.

then full back might not be the position for you at that weight

if you can get a 4.7 damn that d-end right there

at 18 and 295-300 i ran in 5.26 and 5.32ish…wind aided and non wind aided

insane if so your going to crush people if you stay low

i would have to put you at d-end if you got into the 4.7s and i was coaching

have you changed you training regime lately

im interested in what other fellow football players do off season

fuck man. awesome. mad props.

When I opened the link I expected it be a squat video, holy shit!

Ha. In all my years of playing I’ve only seen a handful bench more than 3 plates, and have never seen any incline that much.

I’m prettyy set on Full back. If not there, next option would be LB, in which case I’d probably try to lose a few lbs for agility.

Training doesn’t really change for me, though I have recently added in stones and logs…

haha maybe in a few mos I’ll upload a squat vid.

right on bro that be sick to see you crack some heads at inside backer

im just trying to get back in shape i took 2 years off and had problems with weight went from 295 to 235 then to 330 but after 3 months of training my bench is in 400’s again and squats in the 500’s by august i want to get to 500 bench will be alot of work and then mid 600’s for squat…depends on my weight an position…

ive used logs before but never stones…how has that been for you

man the benching you got is maaaad!! I think with work you could get your deadlift higher in the mid 600’s, but the benching deserves big ups!

Nice lifting man.

We might end up playing against each other in the years to come.
What are your stats?

Cool Man.

If you’re talking about playing stats, I don’t really have any, I played right guard my senior year in HS, and now I’m training for fullback. Lifting wise:

Height 6’2
Weight 265
Bench 485 (in October, think its higher now)
Squat 585
Cleans 305 (just started working on these again)

Thats a sick bench wassup with your squat though? What are your offical combine numbers? and how old are you?

Sorry bout all the questions but I always like to see what other athletes in my sport are doing to compare.

Thanks man. The squat is atg. I’m 20yo, and don’t have combine numbers yet…still have to walk on to the team.

ahh Ic nice. Your 275 - 280 lbs?

Nice lift…and I agree, you had 1 more squeezer in you.
thefatlineman wrote:

I don’t use it for football purposes. I’m training for strongman comps…

oh and ftr, I can do more on deads, but I’m using a thicker bar right now (2", also have a 3"er)…its working wonders for my grip and strength overall.

If this is so, I would imagine the east coast is the only place this occurs.

OP - Awesome job dude. Let us know how the VA Tech thing goes - so I actually have a reason to watch an ACC game…

hey what is your routine?

How the hell do you only run a 4.8? Unless you are some fatass you should have some good relative body strength. Maybe you have tight hips. Most people with those stats run quick. Like brian cushing. He is 6 3 and runs a 4.5 at 250 and you are just as strong if not stronger than him.
