30yr Old /Burn Muscle

If a 30 year old chinese women at 5 ft 3" wants to burn off muscle all over but mostly lower half, would you favour long moderate intensity cv over H.I cv ie intervals? She has a stocky build and really wants to trim down.
Any ideas will be appreiciated.

Who the hell would want to burn muscle?

In answer to your question, distance running would probably be best for trimming down general size.

However, to retain musculature while trimming fat stick with high intensity.

I would put her on a calorie deficit first, then get her doing some high rep work.

Also, if she really wants to “burn” muscle, cut back on eating protein. Her body will have to break down muscle for fuel. But DON’T cut out protein completely.
