3 Week Ultimate Mass Plan Ideas

As it stands I am on Week 6 of TBT. TBT will thus end on the week ending March 19, and I will take a week off (spring break in PARIS). When I return on March 26 or 27, I would like to embark on a 3 week program (until April 16) in order to eke out the most possible mass before cutting. I am thinking about Quattro Dynamo, 10x3, and OLAD, in that order of preference. Have I missed any others?

Also, as spring break approaches, are there any suggestions on how to incorporate overreaching strategies into TBT?

For me personally the 10x3 version of training is not convinent and hence i havent given it a go.

However the classic 5x5 has helped me bulk up in the past, and i am rather hard gainer.

QD is awesome, follow it to a T and you’ll get good results

Absolutely! My vote goes for QD. Love that one.

Just remember to eat everything in sight.

Bump. Thanks for the responses. However, no one has addressed the second half of the question: How can I overreach within the framework of TBT for the next couple of weeks before vacation? Is it unnecessary to do so or something?

Someone, anyone, preferably Chad Waterbury?

Just up your volume. Probably the best way to do it would be to add an extra set to each exercise with the same rep parameters. Paris is for lovers, you and your BF should have fun!

I wouldn’t up my load. Just goto failure on more sets (meaning any). I’ve found that I’ve chosen weights to high and actually had to take back off weeks during TBT (Once for Mardi Gras and once after an invigorating game of tackle football). Just gauge your recovery and adjust.

Yes, QD would be an effective choice for another mass cycle after Paris (Yes, I’m jealous that I can’t spend spring break in Paris!)

Now, the other question. First off, the TBT program is relatively demanding and relatively high-volume. Therefore, I don’t think it’s necessary to “over-reach” before vacation. But, if you’re really motivated to do this technique, I suggest you push the intensity level a little higher with each exercise. In other words, feel free to hit concentric failure during the last two sets for each muscle group. The other option is to add a set to each muscle group while adhering to the original parameters. Either method will induce some over-reaching, therefore, choose whatever sounds most appealling. But, adding volume to certain TBT days will often force your session to last >60 minutes. Such a technique isn’t great for mantaining androgen levels. But, over-reaching is about pushing the envelope, so choose either method.
