2nd Cycle Advice

Hi all. I’m 25 years old, been lifting for nearly 6 years now. Started off as a skinny fat college kid and worked up from there. This will be my second cycle. First was sust 250 for 8 weeks with no AI and had nolva on hand. I had great gains, put on 25 pounds and kept most of my gains…strength gains were through the roof.

Obviously I was bloated from no AI so I did lose a lot of water weight. I did the standard nolva pct which worked out great, never felt lousy once and natural test rebounded quickly.

Now that I have better access I’m looking at another simple cycle.

Weeks 1-8 Test E 500mg split into two weekly shots
Weeks 1-8 Adex .25mg EOD
Weeks 9&10 Wait
Weeks 11-14 Nolva @ 40/40/20/20

I have looked at the taper ideas but as there seems to be a lot of dispute about it, I’m not going to try it. Plus, last time the nolva pct worked great for me.

I am looking at frontloading the Test and Adex. Test @ 750mg for first shot and Adex at 1mg. Is this correct? I think the actual math places the Test @ slightly lower levels, but 750 is easier to draw.

I am mainly looking to gain lean mass and strength. I’m becoming a big fan of several short cycles per year. I also wanted to bounce an idea around and if you think it’s stupid feel free to let me know. I’ve done a lot of research, obviously, but I’m nowhere near knowing as much as some of you. I am considering running clen with the last two weeks and eating at maitenance for whatever my bodyweight is then…or else doing that with a 10 week cycle.

Cycle looks ok

Mind giving us height and weight and a few lifting numbers.

I would not recommend running clen in weeks 7-8. Gaining and losing should be done at different times. You will more than likely be unhappy with the results if you try to accomplish both at the same time.

Height is 5’6/7, weight as of this morning was 171. Body fat, last time was done was 10%, but I don’t put a whole lot of faith in that. I have a sixpack, not insanely ripped because I’ve been doing a clean bulk since I got back from spring break in the caribbean.

Thanks for the clen opinion. That was my concern as well, though I was worried about running clen off cycle as some say it is catabolic and I don’t want to lose muscle just to stay lean.

Edit: Just realized I didn’t give any lifting numbers. Deadlift: 455x2, Front Squat: 275 5x5, Bench: 315 for 1. I don’t do back squats much, the front squats are slightly below parallel, but not quite atg.

I rarely do near my 1rm on deads because I messed my lower back up in Afghanistan. I was pulling 405@ 148lbs. so considering I’ve jumped 20lbs. of solid muscle while lowering my bf it’s not a great number I know. Bench has always lagged as well…more do to a mental block than anything I think.

Doing a real 1rm can be dangerous I would only reccommend it for experienced lifters.

Yea save the clen for another time. If you think you need it, combine it with an anabolic to preserve muscle whilst in a caloric deficit.

I thought clen was supposed to preserve muscle while caloric deficit.

I have heard cases made for it being anabolic and catabolic. The most recent posts I’ve read have said catabolic. So unless bill or someone equally qualified clarify?

Just wanted to give an update. My last shot was yesterday which means that this turned out to be a 7 week cycle instead of the 8 I had planned. I’ll get into that in a moment.

Beginning weight was 171 and my ending weight is 193. I started with a six pack and while my abdominal wall is visible, only the top two are still (faintly) there. I’m fne with some fat gain though…I just tend to hold it all in my midsection. My arms, legs, and back are still cut up, just bigger which is great. Damned genetics and cortisol issues.

My last cycle was sust250 and I have to say I love Test E. I definitely felt more “even” over the cycle as opposed to the blend of esters in sust250 that gave me a slight rollercoaster ride (admittedly I didn’t inject ED while on Sust). The frontload gave me a noticable boost by the end of the first week. Strength gains were steady and constant. Now, as to pics, I know this sounds like a cop out but due to my job I simply can’t post pics of myself online. I have distinctive tattoos that make me easily identifiable. In addition, several people who know me frequent this site, so ain’t gonna happen.

The reason my cycle ran 7 weeks was due to my supplier mislabeling the gear. I had two vials of 10ml dosed at 250mg. So 8 weeks x 2ml/week should have left me with 4ml to spare. I used an additional 500mg for my frontload so I should have had 2ml to spare, however it turns out that while labeled as 10ml they were closer to 8. The quality of the gear was just about pharma grade though, so I can’t complain, just a bit of a bummer to run out of gear a week sooner than planned.

I’m not sure if my adex was underdosed or not. I started out at .25mg EOD, but quickly developed a lot of water retention. I played around with the dosages and found that .5mg EOD and .25mg on the other day reduced my bloat greatly and I felt great. Last cycle due to where I was at I had no access to AIs, only nolva and developed signs of gyno (itchiness and tenderness) at week six though the nolva helped immediately. This cycle the AI was a welcome addition as I felt better and didn’t have a single gyno issue.

Right now I’m looking to maintain as much muscle as I can whilst starting PCT in two weeks. I plan on holding this weight through the summer and early fall before starting another short cycle. I’m going to keep the test at 500mg a week but add in some dbol and see how that affects me…I’m in this for the long haul so the longer I can make gains on low dosages the better. I’ll hold that weight until next spring and then probably do a short cutting cycle with some mast and prop.

This was the first time I had to eat over 5000 cals at the end of the cycle to gain and it sucked, haha. Even using whipping cream in shakes and eating a lot of pepperoni and burgers, it was definitely a struggle to get that in. Makes me a little leery of my next gaining phase, but I have a newfound respect for the poor bastards that have to eat that just to maintain.

I’ve got about a year left on my contract with the military and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do when I get out. Right now I’m about as heavy as I can be and still maintain the level of agility and endurance I’m used to. It will definitely be easier when I don’t have to worry about PT, road marches, setting a good example with cardiovascular activities, etc.
