Watch your back! They apparently don’t grow back like fingers and vas deferens.

Happy birthday to Colleen and Maggie.

Yes, I have been told about regrowth of vas deferens…

I have a story about when I had my little procedure on them I’ll tell sometime.

Thanks corrmhona for the bday wishes!

Umm . . . your fingers grow back? Was one of your parents a lizard?

Well thanks.

I don’t think it’s THAT hard core.

Last set

And yes I know, my dead lift form needs work.

I always just assumed fingers grow back. I’ll have to be more careful!

I REST between sets of dl’s and squats, and need to do them on separate days, so yes, hardcore. For the DL’s, try and push with you heels more and I think you’ll be good.

Yes, fingers don’t grow back. I took out a small chunk out of my right index finger with a jointer and it didn’t grow back. Power tools be scary.

I’ll work on that with the next set of deads. Thanks!

10/26/2013 - Hockey

1 hour scrimmage to try to help a team prep for the new season.

Went to a hockey halloween party much later. Was delayed in making a costume.

When I arrived… they were out of beer.

:frowning:

They couldn’t have saved you one? That is so sad.

10/27/2013 - Hockey

1.5 hour scrimmage with the team for the upcoming Winter season. Finished 3-0 in our favor

We had 8 players plus the goalie. Other other side had 15.

I got one of the goals.

I also was ready to drop the gloves on a jerk player.

Fortunately… Cooler heads prevailed

Good job, on the not fighting and the scoring. Did you get a beer this time?

Yes. That was not a problem.

First league game is next Saturday.

Keep us updated. I haven’t played in years, so you are my vicarious hockey playing.

I like the skating part, not so much the worrying about other players part though.

Hockey is perfect for me. I’m not a very good skater, so I tend to run into people anyway, so I just pretend I’m checking …

Busy: You always get a lot of solid volume in your workouts. I need to work on that. Do you find super sets are the key or do you do them because you get a better lift out of working antagonistic muscles together?

I’m working on my skating. A lot. I don’t like doing things poorly.

Hence my “How to Hockey Skate” lessons as one of my hours of skating on Wednesdays.

As for volume, I’m just going off of the 531 Template.

The supersets were suggested to cut down the time in the gym by Wendler…

Well to quote him:

“Feel free to superset the assistance work. This will shorten the workout time and keep you from sitting on your ass between sets.”

Ultimately, my goals are simple.

Become stronger, faster, leaner.

It is? I was doing boring but big out of the book and it always seems like you are doing twice as much work. I need to read the article…and the new article. And the new book.

I like you goals. My pics make me think leaner should be at the top of MY list.
