2busy's Training Log of Solitude

2 Busy is Nebraskan…but really not all that different. We just crash his log to talk about hockey. Edmonton? Is everyone in Edmonton?

We’re everywhere…where are you? Do you have the flu too?
HAHA no! I do not currently have the flu. I am in the Edmonton area. I don’t know anyone that is sick right now, maybe it will reach us soon?
Should I be preparing myself? Last time I had the flu I watched flight with Denzel Washington and it made me feel sicker because he was an alcoholic and was always hung over/looking like shit.

2Busy where in Alberta were you??
I was in Calgary. Took a ride out to Lake Louise and back.

Beautiful country.

I’m the other Albertan. Makes three of us in Edmonton. I’m in the west end.

Sorry for the hijack, 2busy

Hockey - 1 hour. No goals

My legs felt heavy on my shifts. Yay DOMS

Sorry MT. No snatches.

It’s all good.

Normally, it’s just me posting my workouts.

Hence the name.

You’re besieged!
Any good jokes about people from Alberta?

Ha, I’m not going there.

I’d like to be allowed to visit again sometime.

I honestly don’t know any Alberta jokes. I know a lot of us make fun of Newfoundlanders (aka Newfies) who move here to work the oil sands but that’s not really my thing.

So not to hijack corrmhona’s tread and since it’s apparent you stop by here occasionally, MT…

Have you considered Kendo?

Not quite the same as your waster comments.

They actually have a class here for $25 a month sponsored by the Parks and Recreation department.

I’m considering trying it.

Did you know that the T-rex really loved to eat the edmontosaurus and he kinda followed him around and that’s why there are so many t-rex fossils found in the Alberta area??

Cool, hey?

2Busy you are welcome to come back to Alberta anytime! But come to Edmonton next time or at least tell me when you’ll be in Calgary so we can hang out in Red Deer or something, LOL.

Thanks!

I’m working on my vacation plans for next year, and taking a road trip north is high on the list.

Edmonton is really not much more then a drive to New Jersey from here, and I made that trip more then a few times.

Cool!

You can come to Edmonton and we can grab a beer then…um…well…hmmm…help me out here guys!

Sorry for the thorough hijack.

That’s the problem with being locals, we forget the tourist-y things we do have here. Doesn’t help that I’m a home body so I almost never go out. I guess it’s that small town mentality that there’s nothing to do.

The Deadmonton thing is kind of a running joke, and you’re right it isn’t true. There is a festival every 15 minutes all summer…plus we all post on forums a lot. (I’ve been yappy lately, sorry all).

Lol.

Getting a beer, new places to try food, checking the closeout bin in the local hockey shop, And maybe get in a workout will all work for me.

We could go to Galaxy Land bitches…

LOL, sure, Spockie!

1 hour skating lessons, 1 hour hockey - 2 hours cardio.

What sucks on this is right now, there’s a 2 hour gap between the skates.

Scored a goal on a really good goalie.

Took a point blank slap shot in the ankle from one of the college kids from Minnesota.

Couldn’t put weight on it for about 5 minutes.

He should have hit me in the titanium re-enforced leg.

…and you can’t drink beer in the gap.

You need to label your legs so they know to hit the bionic one. Ankle feeling OK today? Zhengushui would fix it. Brilliant on bruises. If you come up will set you up with a case if they don’t have it in Omaha.

Well… I could drink beer in the gap.

Just have to extract myself out of the rink.

Ankle is ok. A little sore. I’m happy I was in the new skates with the carbon fiber re-enforcement.

I’ll look for Zhengushui here, thanks!
