I would still rather walk outside.

I live out in the country, so there’s a bit of wild life around.

Deer, turkey, opossum, raccoon, turkey, coyote, and skunk.

They will occasionally wander out on the road in front of the gravel trucks…

The trucks win.

Being home driving you nuts? Or are you working from home?
I’m working from home.

I’m in IT so I can pretty much do everything I do at the office here and without pants… :)
Nice visual…

Oh and welcome aboard, shoes and shirt required. LOL

Thanks Fischer!

Really nice to see someone else posting walking miles and pace as significant exercise.

Do you add load ? or difficulty eg hills as well ?.

Well…

Considering I just had multiple hernias repaired on the 6th, I’m not adding a load yet.

Where I live, if I head east, I get about a 1.8 mile straightaway that’s flat.

I have done a lot of walking on thread mills with varying levels of incline.

I’m going to start adding in a back pack and adding weight when I can.

Hey nice new home you got here!
Seems like your already getting better support.

Hey Busy!!! How YOU doin’?

Nice job getting in the training while in recovery - you sir, are tenacious! I like it

Take it easy with that hernia, not like I need to tell you, but reading Powerpuff’s recovery time, straining the abs is no bueno, right?

Good luck!

Hi MiM!

Thanks!

Yes, more people have been stopping by to see my walking logs, lol.

5 more weeks and it will change.

Hi Masch! Thanks for stopping in!

This is my second time around with a hernia repair, so I know the drill, lol.

Tenacity is one of my attributes, yes, lol.

Going to walk @ the gym today…

And look longingly at the free weights…

Sigh.

Training - 10/16

Walk - On treadmill @ incline 3

3 miles in 44 minutes, 40 seconds.

Observations:

1). Validates outside walking distance and pace.
2). Better scenery for viewing on ellipticals/stair climbers in front of the treadmill line…

Ahh–scenery…explains it all. !!!

Monday - 10/17

I’m skipping my walk for today.

Muscle spasms all night long in my abs.

I walked 15.1 miles in the last week.

Tuesday - 10/18

Took another day off of walking.

Trying to listen to my body.
