I hope you drink proper beer and not anything like Budweiser, or Rolling Rock, basically fizzy water with essence of beer.

Last night I had Warsteiner Dunkel.

Some of my Dad’s friends who were visiting from Germany called Budweiser ā€œWater with a taste of beerā€.

Usually, though, locker room/parking lot drinking is whatever people bring along.

That tends to be what’s on sale and cold at the gas station on the way there.

Yep Germany spoilt me with beer when I lived there. We’re making some of our own now, or well I help. Got a nice batch of ginger beer going.

9/18/2013 - Hockey and Hockey

1 hour skating lessons. Right quad hurt

1 hour scrimmage - fast and only 2 on the bench each side.

Right quad hurt more…

09/19/2013 - Gym

I am listening to my body. My right quad is strained. It hurt in not a good manner when I walked up the steps to work.

So I’ll do some rehab on my legs and give them some recovery time.

Stationary bike spin - 15 minutes @ 100 rpms or higher, light resistance

The idea here is to get the muscles moving and pumping blood through them to facilitate recovery.

Hanging Leg Raises - 5 sets of 10.

I need to work on my grip.

Sauna and jacuzzi.

Uh oh, I hope the above is not why you’ve been mia.

How’s the leg?

Hiya!

Leg has improved. I have been out of town for work so I haven’t been pushing getting to the gym.

I have played some hockey. Leg felt ok the day after.

I’ll be back to lifting real soon.

We got our first snow last night. It should be gone by now, but it feels like hockey season…

Considering it IS hockey season, lol. The fight in the Habs vs Leafs was classic.

Its early, but you have to start sometime…you think the Leafs will be playoff contenders this year? The Oilers have been making us sad here for a while…

Yea, I noticed on the Oilers.

The Leafs are currently leading the East.

My source on the Leafs is this website http://www.downgoesbrown.com/

It’s at least entertaining, lol

But they can’t do well two years in a row, it is one of the 7 signs of the apocalypse. They have to go down, for all of our sakes!

Give them a month, lol

Well the Oilers got a win over my Devils…

At least my college, UNO, showed NAIT how to play hockey.

How did you end up with Jersey? I shut off after the second period…my ADD (I don’t really have ADD, we just have a lot of squirrels running round our place) only lets me watch for three hours in the playoffs. What a game to miss the third on.

NAIT referred to it as a ā€œTeam Building Trip to Omahaā€ā€¦ They got spanked, did they?

I lived in NJ for 13 years. Most of my children were born there.
My two oldest started hockey in New jersey.

NAIT was at the end of a long road trip. They lost 6-1.

That may have put a little too much confidence in UNO. They lost 6-4 tonight to Bentley.

So… back to the gym
