24 - Season 6

Im sorry but they went completely overbord on this one.

What is your take on the first couple of episodes.

The fact that daily bombings take place in the US, without the FBI, CIA, NSA, ATF and CTU knowing is just redicilous.

The president giving in to terrorist? Come on, we all know that would never happen in a million years.

People turning on their next door neighbours because of nothing? Are the american people really that stupid?

Well, first off, it’s a TV show about extreme days in the life of a Counter Terrorist Agent, so in order to make more than one season it’s going to have to stretch the imagination.

Secondly, yes, American people really are that stupid.

Still looking forward to it. Starts airing in Canada within a week here.
See Ya

If I were going to describe 24 in one word, it certainly wouldn’t be “believable.” That’s not really the point though. I think a big part of the show’s appeal, besides the obvious appeal of things blowing up and what not, is that Americans want to believe that there are people like Jack Bauer out there protecting us, who will always win against any odds. It scares people just to watch the news sometimes, and everyone wants a hero, even if he’s a fictional character.

On a separate note, Jack just can’t catch a break… if I were him and I kept having days like he does, I think I’d just stay in bed.
