7 weeks and 5 days to go. on holiday this week for my birthday so don’t expect any fat loss, I think I’m in an alright place so far. going by where I was at this stage for my last show. 
cals are being cut from tomorrow, dropping another 200 so training day 1900, non training day about 1500.

dbol has been dropped as of yesterday. going to be running 500mg test solo for the next week or so then implement 50mg proviron e/d. my coach doesn’t think I’m lean enough for where I should be (April 5th show) but hey ho, can start doing cardio now and the priority is the 25th of April show which gives me just under 8 weeks to get dycy.
going to be doing weekly updates now. 25mg proviron consumed am, 25mg pm so running 50mg a day for the next 4 weeks. show day is 4 weeks yesterday. not yet implemented cardio because my coach said it was my choice and I hate it so much, however I think I will start tomorrow.
training day cals are 1800 with 197p, 155c and 44f. non training day cals are around 1350 with 150g protein, 90c and 40f.
as of yesterday the first show on April 5th has been cancelled. will know by the end of this week whether the 25th of April show will continue although the expectation is that it will be cancelled. A lot of my fellow competitors for the first show have started bingeing already but I have stuck to the diet and will continue to do so for the forseeable.
I am blasting test at 500mg per week and proviron at 50mg each day but will come back down to TRT dose probably next week if the second show is off. Been on high test for 10 weeks and Proviron for the past week.
I tanned the day before the news to test out different products on my skin so that’s why I’m a nice colour in the pics below. I’m sitting at around 199lbs at 6’1 and cals are the same as above still.

5 years later and I’m back, and it appears a few friends have left unfortunately. Long story short, when shows were cancelled due to covid I stopped training, got a gf and couldn’t stop eating. I’m an all or nothing guy so when I eat like that I see no reason in training as progress is only hindered, looking back though I’ve basically wasted my prime.
So I’ve been back in the gym since March, weighing around 250lbs as your average dad bod basically. I’d been on 125mg since 2020 but in April I decided to blast. I opted for 500mg test e and 250mg deca. I enjoyed my blast a lot and got stronger than I ever was, even having not trained in 5 years.

Don’t get me wrong I know that I’m a fat mess there but just wanted to get some base back and see how much muscle memory I had.
Fast forward to today and I’m sat at 258lbs in my so far 4 week cut. I’m not utilizing any anabolics other than my test e at 125mg as I want to give my body a break from the blast that ended 4 weeks ago. This is me now:
My current cals are 2700 on training days with 215P, 350C and 55F. Non training days around 1600 cals with 200P, 80C and 35F. I’m in the gym 5-6 times per week, still pushing, pulling and legging it. I do however have some niggles, a large one in my left quad on the outer side, it feels deep down and I get a sharp pain when I turn my foot a certain way, and my elbows when my arms are extended. I’m going to give bpc-157 a try on 250mcg a day, should I inject this into my quad? that pain is more severe than my elbows.
I’m going to continue on my current trajectory for another month and I’m then thinking I’ll maybe blast again, with 500mg test e and another compound. I want to cut down to around 210lbs so I have a long way to go and I’m in no rush so I’d like some suggestions on which to include please, I think Anavar would be the best choice?
I’m still fairly inexperienced when it comes to compounds having only run Test, Dbol, Proviron and Deca in the past.
You have enough muscle but unfortunately a crap load of fat covering it. Slightly more that TRT test and Var would be a good cut option. I don’t think I’d use the 500mg outside of a growth phase but thats me.

yeah a heck of a lot of fat but it is what it is, I’m thinking I’ll maybe be in alright shape come May time. when you say just above TRT what you thinking? 250mg? that being said, my thoughts for running high test would be to prevent muscle loss whilst on the cut. also for anavar, straight in at 75mg? I’ve read quite a lot over the years and whilst compounds and doses are different for everyone, I’ve read quite a lot of people not having much use out of 50mg.
I’ve also went back and read @Singhbuilder ‘s log from around the same time as mine and he was hitting 100mg anavar at one point. I don’t think tren is in my future but we’ll see how it goes. The plan is to compete again but it’s hard to say when because I’ve lost muscle over the years I don’t know if I’ll look better than I did in 2020 when I cut this time around.
So there are a couple steroids that directly affect body fat reduction and Anavar is one. Testosterone aids in fat loss for hypogonadal men who are E2 dominant but not really past that level once normalized. Any other fat loss from Test is secondary. I don’t like providing people with actual dosages as in “do this” as I’m just a keyboard warrior and not a Doc or even professional coach. I do feel like 75mg is too much. I guess I’ll just go out and say that 200-250mg of Test with 50mg Var would be more than enough for me to prevent muscle wasting and reap the cut benefits. I don’t know how you respond to gear.
Once you’re at the BF level you want to grow again, then consider higher doses of gear. This is of course the ‘play it safe’ plan. If you want to YOLO it Tren Ace is amazing at quick body comp transformations and side effects resolve pretty quickly when you stop due to the short ester.
yeah I’m not really looking for the anabolics to aid in fat loss because I can do that myself through diet. more keen on the weight loss being directly fat and not any muscle. last time around I actually used 500mg test e and 30mg dbol and made good progress towards the fat loss.
I hear you about everyone being different and running different doses and I’ve always been the less is more type of guy when it comes to using gear. I’m not really interested in using tren at the moment because I feel like I need to be much more muscular before using the “top-tier” anabolics like that and superdrol.
I do appreciate the advice and always welcome opinions that will assist me in switching up my thought process. I actually have new dbol on hand because I was thinking of doing the exact same as last time but feel it may be more beneficial to use it in a growth phase.
If you were my client, I would suggest that you get your diet, cardio and training dialed in.
Trt does that gets you to the top 10 percent of normal and monitor with bloodwork.
Lose no more than 1% body fat for the first 12 weeks.
Once bodyfat stalls, bump up step count.
In the gym, walk for the 90 seconds rest between each set.
You should be able to bet about 100 steps between sets.
Add 10 minutes on the treadmill at 3mph and 5 degrees before and after training.
That should get you 3500 to 4000 steps while in the gym.
Shoot for a total of 7000 steps for the first 12 weeks.
Then reevaluate all of the items above.
You got in great shape before, so you know what’s involved.
I appreciate that, you’ll have maybe read that I’m not the biggest fan of cardio and didn’t implement it until a few weeks out from show dates. I do think it is a good idea however just now I’d prefer to keep that as a weapon to break through plateaus as such, my weight is dropping around 1-2lbs per week which I’m aiming for without any cardio.
I’m a little concerned about having lose skin around my abs considering my age, how heavy I was/am and where I need to get to. The best way to minimise this of course is by losing fat slowly, which 1-2lbs should be enough for.
A ten minute warm up and cool down isn’t cardio sir. Neither is walking between sets.
