My boss rolls in every Friday with a pink-and-white striped box from a local boutique donut shop. And every week I turn down his offer to indulge in one. Last Friday, as I watched my day descend into shit, I popped into his office and snagged some apple dumpling-stuffed monstrosity that was left. That afternoon a client from a bakery/cafe place dropped off a giant spread of treats. I walked into the room and exclaimed āThereās not a thing here I should eat!ā My day was still in a death spiral, and despite self-admonition, I wolfed down a giant MnM and chocolate chip cookie. I figured that was my one bad day for the month, and moved on.

Same here. And both ways. Was so grateful for an anxiety/stress-free/home alone yesterday that I plowed through fried oysters and chips, BBQ ribs, a salami, pepperoni, bresaola & mozzarella sub, two chocolate donuts, and several handfuls of popcorn in a matter of hours.
