Fixed that for you, @pfury…
Did you have such little faith in Obama when he ran as even more of a nobody than nearly every contender to date?
Or is it that Dems aren’t capable of saying something of substance?
I remember very clearly when Obama was first elected to the Senate and was giving a speech - I think it was on CSPAN - before anyone announced for the '08 race and thinking that dude’ll win if he runs…
I have zero notions of that from anyone of these clowns - of course one does not equate to the other but…
Obama was certainly helped because he was a great public speaker. Love or hate the message he definitely can talk.
All that said I did not think he would win early. I thought Clinton would bag the nomination and Dems wouldn’t risk running a black male (even though Clinton was female as well).
I haven’t listened to big speeches or anything by a lot of the people who have announced so far. I’ve heard Warren speak some and Bernie. I don’t remember hearing a lot from the others but I pretty much never watch cable news anymore.
I definitely follow the individual part of politics less than I did when I was younger. Damn kids.
I never thought she was charismatic enough and she just has always come across as a phony to me – would say whatever was politically expedient … much like Kamala Harris does and Corey Booker, to name a couple who come across as disingenuous and opportunistic.
Aside from Warren and Sanders - I haven’t listened to many other Dem candidates mainly due to them seemingly being marginalized by the MSM - odd how that seems.
If you’re the MSM why would you hype (or even start to) any candidate at this point? It’d be a death sentence by tweeting questionable truths.
If the MSM wants Trump out of office, it might help to make him do his own work this time around.
Good question … why do they seem to be hyping Harris and Bernie?
Something I’ve heard they do daily … Covington and Smollett are the two freshest examples of this shit
Doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen but I agree
I guess the phrase I’m looking for is like the economy of words. MSM has been so quick for so long to jump on to a subject and go full blast, I wonder if they’re finally starting to understand that less is better.
The Smollett thing most recently has to have some executives rethinking their approach. These news cycles lately have been an absolute blood bath, and this one in particular has to be leaving some gutted carcasses.
I’m honestly hoping that this is the wrench that finally destroys the manufactured outrage machine. Imagine an election cycle where mundane statements or gestures are ignored and actual important statements are emphasised a little bit.
Harris I haven’t really seen much of. Bernie I’d assume from the silly amount of fundraising he pulled off.
Plus he’s the real person behind nearly all of AOCs legislation. That kinda stuff is in the news regardless right meow.
I meant by Trump haha. I fully expect him to abuse his position to float things that can neither be confirmed nor denied to tank his opponent
Yeah agreed. They don’t seem to be smart enough these days
Hard not to come across this way when your message is, “You guys need to give more;” while you’re rich and not prohibited from giving more.
Sounds like something put out by faux news. But really, what is the source?
Ha! Seems quite realistic, except the antisemitism. Antisemitism is OK for lefties now.
Anti-Israel.
Right. Like saying “I don’t like France but French people are fine.”.
It sounds idiotic whether you use French, Israeli, or any other nationality.
If French was a religion and not specifically only a Geo location lol
In its Basic Laws, Israel defines itself as a Jewish and democratic state.[54]
From wiki, but why not.
I don’t actually know enough about Isreal as a nation to argue it too much.
Lol, it’s just a joke, man. I saw it on FB.
If someone has a problem with the policies of the American government, is he anti-democracy?
