Just hope he can stay healthy, for a 5th rounder its a no brainer. See ya percy.

Ivory, Decker, Marshall and Amaro…good weapons, need another pass catching back dont want bush, still hoping for Spiller, would even take a look at Pierre Thomas for a bargain price.

Oh and still need a QB lol
I think this has been a pretty cool off-season so far, and free agency hasn’t even started.

You wouldn’t want to keep Harvin and Marshal? Or is it salary cap issues and he has to be cut?

Marshal, if healthy, is legit.

I was thinking about that, and your right, if he would restructure his contract (which I doubt) he can be the third receiver plus the pass catching option out of the backfield, I think he would be able to be involved enough to keep him happy. Now to make it work financially
I would be trying to make that work.

I wouldn’t worry about McCourty. If he was so great, he’d be playing corner still

I’d say that him being much better playing a center field role, than playing in a constant back pedal doesn’t mean he is less “great”.

He’s the first solid+, well above average Safety they’ve had since Harrison. I don’t see how moving from corner diminishes that.
Personally I don’t think McCourty is that good. I don’t think he’s bad by any means, but that doesn’t make him an above average safety. I think he benefits from a subpar safety field in the NFL right now.

He’ll be over paid where ever he goes, but mostly because the markets shit for SS and FS, he benefited from having Revis and Browner back there with him, and he has a SB ring on his finger.

I wish the jets would go after Alex Smith or Cousins or some other dude who can at least throw to the right team on occasion. Marshall is a good look, a couple corners and a qb and were ready to rock.

I’ve been hearing the Jets are getting Foles from the Eagles and a couple first round picks for the 6th spot in the draft IF Mariotta is still there.

The amount of money the players make is pretty crazy, but I think they deserve it. Only because they are playing in the NFL, which has a revenue over 9 BILLION a year. It’s the players and coaches that make the game what it is.
Given the nature of the sport, the amount of money the players make is a disproportionately low piece of that $9B pie. (ie. mostly due to lack of guaranteed contracts, which leaves the players themselves to shoulder a disproportionately high amount of risk)

Still, it’s not like the players and their union haven’t agreed to the current setup.

Meanwhile, every other major pro league wishes their contracts were also basically year-to-year propositions.

Odds Reggie Wayne ends up in Denver catching passes from Manning?

And than the Bills give McCoy an immediate contract extension with 26.5 million in gaurentees, and 16 million just for this year. Good grief. Can’t afford to pay Searcy, and nickle and dime Hughes all off season, but toss extra money at a guy you just traded for and already own for the next 3 years. Way to Bill it up Bills.

Suh to the Dolphins. 6 years, 114 million, 60 gaurenteed. Ouch. Like I said, Bills gonna need some space next year.

The professional sports markets allows for their astronomical salaries, but they don’t deserve them in my opinion. I’m fine with it because that’s how capitalism works, but it’s pretty ridiculous that a person get’s 18m/annual because he can shove people out of the way and sack another guy.

/rant

Anyway, I agree Suh will be overpaid regardless of who grabs him.

That’s insane, bet he get’s suspended for 3-4 games during the first 3 years of guaranteed money. Good for him though.

Good for him, but it’s awful hard to win tying up 1/7th of your cap space on a single player. He’s good, but he’s not 1/7th of your team’s success good.

Justin Houston must be a happy man. We are gonna have to pay him a King’s ransom.

I’d tag him again next year.

I agree. I heard rumors the other day about the Chargers being interested in him, but I didn’t want them to spend all that money on one player when there are many other areas of need.

Raven’s are in trouble. This isn’t shaping up to be a good off season for them so far. I hope they draft well.

Chung gets beat like a red headed step child… McCourty makes a mistake now and again, but is a very solid center fielder.

EDIT: moot point, Pat’s paid him.

I’m on the fence hoping the Skins are willing to give up the 5th for him so I hope we are at least in heavy talks with the Eagles to do this over the Jets. Kelley is building himself a nice little team there and I’m sure we can use that #5 on a long term awesome player but man does a deal like the RG3 one sound great to help us rebuild multiple holes…

Go Cards…I have no clue what the cue ball brothers are planning. Looks like another year of prove it contracts. Maybe pick up a young center or Ol.

GO PATS. praying for Revis tmrw…

Patrick Willis retiring. whoa
