Later I thought wouldn’t it have been hilarious if he said I have one reason why you won’t beat me…grapefruit and then just dropped the mic haha. I love kai but that would have been funny.

I always liked Hide, but to be honest, I never really saw him as any legitimate threat to a major title. THat’s why it really stands out to me. He didn’t suddenly make any huge leap in development, and to be placed ahead of Aaron, who has been a majorly talked about competitor the last couple of years, and who IMO pressented a much better overall physique,… well, it doesn’t help people who argue that there’s no political mojo going on behind the scenes.

Of the guys on stage I thought Wolf came in in the best shape. Rhoden still has my favorite physique. Kai didn’t win because judges have gone away from pure massfreakshow appeal and seem more inclined to look at some form of flow and symmetry. Phil just looks better than Kai, Kai looks freakier than Phil, Rhoden is the most aesthetically pleasing but needs a little more mass to be number one.

If the source and my memory serve me correctly, he rakes in 4 to 6 million per year from those sites and his other photography work, and has a small staff of less than twelve people and owns a mansion in Florida. Actually, T-mag’s former sponsored bodybuilder, DG, the one who was involved in a “protocol”, posed for Ulrich too and another one of T-mag’s pros, whose name I won’t mention, posed for him long ago as well. Name a popular pro or NPC competitor and it’s likely he was filmed or photographed for one of those sites, or by another studio such as Colt or Jimmy Z.
Rusty Jeffers said he was well taken care of by Colt for years. Tom Prince said he earned 3,000 bucks for a day of work with Colt. Mike Hamilton (no, not a popular bodybuilding name) said on MW that he earned 6,000 for just days of work with Colt. It’s not about being popular. Heavily muscled men with good looking faces can do it and it can be a lucrative side hustle, certainly a side hustle that pays well considering how much and how much more intensely an average person has to work to earn thousands of dollars (standing around, posing, smiling, and even humping a fruit is not as hard as going to work, I say). Actually it seems Brad Hollibaugh (again, not an all time legend we speak of here) has earned quite a bit of dough from his muscle worship work in which he overhead presses, bear hugs, and wrestles schmoes, amongst other theatrics, like screwing his hot girlfriend on film.
