From what I have read it looks like Harvin gave Golden Tate a black eye last year during the superbowl week and got into another fight with another receiver I think Kearse.

Its a no brainer in my eyes. All the bad shit always comes out after the fact. I am a firm believer that some teams need edgier players (i.e. assholes) to give them a spark, you cant all have nice guys in this sport. Time will tell, if it doesent work out the Jets can simply let him go after the years over. As a fan it gives me some excitment it was has been an absolutely atrocious throwaway year.

I like that the Jets looks like they will be committed to Smith this year, its all I ask. Give him a full year to evaluate, then see what we have. Although this does not bode well for Ryan, who is most likely done after this year. Idzik is going to get a mulligan claiming he didnt have his coach in place to fully take on the role as GM, a shrew move he bought himself another year. Im sure we will see a Seahawk-esque coaching staff in place next year.

I am really looking forward to the Dallas Jints game, should be a good one.
Apropos for sure

I see Mcnabb is stirring the pot, saying Cutler is the midwest Romo. He mad!!!
I’d take a Tony Romo. He’s the Jeff George of the midwest.

Huge huge huge victory. Season saver. That was unbelievably tense.

How bout them Cowboys!!!

All the guaranteed money has been paid…as far as what’s left in Seattle I have read they are high on two rookie receivers in Richardson and Norwood. On paper other than Wilson and lynch it looks pretty barren
The whole situation in Seattle looks completely barren. I’m surprised I haven’t heard more about this. According to reports, the team thought it was likely that Harvin had enough locker room support to legitimately foment some sort of team-wide mutiny against Wilson.

What kind of locker room is it that would support a fucking loser like Harvin over Wilson? THAT is the biggest red flag to me, that there is even the remote possibility that Harvin has that much pull in the locker room. If that is the case, then that team is completely without a rudder.

Why would anyone want to start shit with Wilson? He seems like a legit likable guy.

Man-o-man… My butthole was puckered all night Thursday, but I fucking crushed the Jets +10 lmao…

As for yesterday… I didn’t get to see much football, but it seemed like a good day on the field. Bring on the bumbling Bears, lol.

I think the Chargers injuries finally caught up to them. Had both starting DBs out against the Chiefs and it showed. Now they have to play the Broncos who look very stout on short rest. I’d like to think they have a chance since they beat them in Denver last year, but they had a different team then.

I think the Niners just had bad luck last night, they ran into a freight train at the wrong time.

Read this morning where if Blank gets rid of Smith this yr, his first choice will be Rex. If he keeps Smith, then Rex will be hired as def cor.

Arthur Blank (a guy who I have a lot of respect and admiration for) should square away protection for his QB before he gets killed

I guess a lot of it has to do w/the Hard Knocks episodes. According to the storyline, they were supposed to be getting all swole & physical. Supposedly, their downfall last yr. 6 games in, & they are getting hit in the mouth. Bringing in Rex would definitely be bringing the whoop ass mentality.

If Rex Ryan gets hired in ATL, I know one guy who used to post in this thread would be livid.

There are seven QBs so far this year with a passer rating over 100. Oh how the times have changed.

& who might that be?

I know Rex can be a tough pill to swallow, but he does get the best out of his guys.

The Jets play their damn hearts out for him. At least against the Pats, without question. They are always up and ready to smash the shit out of people. Always.

How anyone could be upset ot get Sexy Rex as a D cord is beyond me.

Head Coach? I can see the reason to grumble, but pared with the right OC that should be fine too.

Pat. He hates Rex Ryan.

The main issue I have with Ryan is his Blatant lies which makes me think he plays all jets as fools. Like a few years ago when the nfl players faced a lockout and half the jet roster were free agents Ryan went on to state that the Jets were super bowl caliber , Idiotic. Or when he actually had the gall to state that his secondary roster was very good because they have unproven and largely dissapointing Calvin prior and D Milner, there. The truth is great coaches are largely negative and never are satisfied with their teams production, Ryan always seems happy to point out the bright points of shirty play, or use stats that are meaningless to make points in his favor.

I could care less if he stays or goes

I agree with a lot of this. But, if I was a Jets fan, I would want him out. Rex Ryan to me is a great coach to bring on board if you have a team put together by someone who knows what they are doing, and has been beating them down. For an example, if Harbough leaves the 49ers and they hired Rex, I would put them as the Superbowl favorite. But, it would only stay like that for a year or two then it would start to collapse.

You take a coach like Garret. It has taken a while for his coaching to firmly get its roots and start to produce a product on the field that is expected around here. But his style of coaching is something that once it’s foundation starts to produce it will continue to produce until something happens. Like he starts to go crazy (Landry) or their is a major ego battle with Jerry (Jimmy) The Jimmy thing won’t happen, because Garret isn’t a physcho like Jimmy, and Jerry has learned from his mistakes.
