No joke boondock. As for what they gave up Red, 2-4th rd draft pick. I imagine it’s what he gets done the rest of the yr. This is a bad move for the Jets. I hate the win now scenario. Let the plan play out before jumping… Aye Carumba.

I know Harvin, being a local boy (Va. Beach) he has attitude & it ain’t always good.
Jets don’t seem like a win now team to me. Players seem to play hard for Rex though. What do you think of Rex continuing seems the GM is the problem.
A win now team? If they win out the rest of the season they go 10-6…I think its a bad move for the Seattle who actually has legitimate chances to repeat
Print said he disliked the idea of win now. I said I don’t think the Jets are looking like a win now team.

What the hell? I thought this was a joke. I guess Harvin hasn’t done shit all year except for maybe that touchdown run against the Chargers which wasn’t really a touchdown. The Jets have a lot of cap space correct? I don’t see why the Jets would want him. I’m slightly confused on this one.

On the surface I like the deal, he seems like he would be a great fit in Marty’s system. The Jets with the exception of Decker have probably the worst group of receivers in the league (what else is new) and its abundantly clear especially with yesterdays game that the Jets receivers have tons of trouble getting open. A player like Harvin will be perfect for Smith and gives them two legitiamte proven receiver weapons. Decker, Harvin, Ivory and Johnson. Thats a legitimate group of proven NFL players.

Idzik probably still has alot of ties in Seattle to make this happen. The Jets front office are hypocritcal by nature, they said before this year that they want to build this team the correct way, through the draft. Well half of the jets 2014 draft class is no longer on the fucking team. Harvin for a mid round pick? Ill take it. If it doesent work we cut Harvin, the rest of his contract is not guaranteed. Seems like a no lose situation to me.

Harvin is hurt right now, yes, but the jets already played so he has time to heal up, the Jets schedule becomes much easier than it had been. This is great for Geno IMO, as of right now Im all for it.

It’s a good look but they need to address their shitake corners. I think Amaro will be good once he can learn to be consistent. Kerley fries is good for a decent catch a game. Decker’s a beast I also look forward to Percy Harvin shutting up his critics as a jet. Oh and print lay off the viagra you’ll wear a hole through it. I see Mcnabb is stirring the pot, saying Cutler is the midwest Romo. He mad!!!

I guess I just misunderstood, and the don’t really get the point of the deal by either team.

This is just internet rumors, but i’m hearing Harvin is a locker room cancer and really hard to get along with. I’d say either that was the problem or the fact that his body is made of glass. Why else would the Vikings get rid of him and then the Seahawks?

I definitely see why the Jets would make this deal. I think it is a great deal for them.

Seattle? Must be trying to clear cap room and Harvin hasn’t shown them that he is the direction they want to go. They are hoping they can get one of their draft picks back of the three they gave up for him? Terrible GM move on their part, bush league. They gave up a 1st rounder, 3rd rounder, and 7th rounder. For a 2-4 rounder and 7 games from Harvin and $25 million.

From what I have read it looks like Harvin gave Golden Tate a black eye last year during the superbowl week and got into another fight with another receiver I think Kearse.

Its a no brainer in my eyes. All the bad shit always comes out after the fact. I am a firm believer that some teams need edgier players (i.e. assholes) to give them a spark, you cant all have nice guys in this sport. Time will tell, if it doesent work out the Jets can simply let him go after the years over. As a fan it gives me some excitment it was has been an absolutely atrocious throwaway year.

I like that the Jets looks like they will be committed to Smith this year, its all I ask. Give him a full year to evaluate, then see what we have. Although this does not bode well for Ryan, who is most likely done after this year. Idzik is going to get a mulligan claiming he didnt have his coach in place to fully take on the role as GM, a shrew move he bought himself another year. Im sure we will see a Seahawk-esque coaching staff in place next year.

I am really looking forward to the Dallas Jints game, should be a good one.

^ This… Easily could go the Santonio Holmes route if not handled from the beginning. Hope he brings something to the team, besides headaches. If nothing else, stop the 8 man in the box deal.

& Boonie, if they end at 10-6, I’ll fly Jlabs to wherever you are, to either give you or your goat a good ol fashion dick suckin’.

^ I hope that comes into fruition Prizzy! I like em’ sloppy.

Fuck me. They threw away a lot of picks on this guy.

Reports are saying the jets draft pick they are giving up may be as low as a 6th rounder. All guaranteed money is paid. In a lost season this is once again a no brainer

Yeah. At this point, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Placate the media & the fans. It’ll buy Idzik some time, but unfortunately not Rex. He’ll be scooped up so fast next yr as a De coordinator it’ll will make your head spin.

Hmm, how does this affect Seattle. I know he hasn’t been very productive but do the Seahawks have any legitimate threats on offense other than Wilson and Lynch running the ball.

I thought the same, especially after losing Tate. It’s on Baldwin & whoever else plays WR.

Is Seattle paying any more on his contract?

All the guaranteed money has been paid…as far as what’s left in Seattle I have read they are high on two rookie receivers in Richardson and Norwood. On paper other than Wilson and lynch it looks pretty barren

Perhaps they will start using Luke Wilson more

Read an article on Yahoo about him. Other than the black eye he gave Tate, and the fight with Baldwin in the preseason. They said he almost got into a fight with Russel Wilson and that he refused to go back into the game against Dallas last Sunday during the 4th quarter. Guy sounds like a douche and props to the Seahawks for trading him away when he is clearly a cancer in their locker room.
