lmao…

Come on with this shit man. I’ve had people in this thread give me the same shit for winning money not betting on the Pats, or being objective about them too.

I don’t know if your being a smartass here or not, but if you’re serious this is a very childish stance, and it would be appreciated if you dropped it.

Cheer for your team, and be optimistic, fine, but drop the high school “you are a real fan” bullshit if someone else has a different perspective.

Blind fandom…yuck

Funny thing he doesn’t even realize is that a lot of the longest standing old school Cowboys fans hate Jones far more than any non-fan would because he got rid of Landry, ran off Johnson, and generally ran the franchise in the ground. Most true Cowboy’s fans that I know despise JJ.

He wanted Manziel and from what I’ve heard is still pissed he let his team talk him out of it.

In one post you talk about actions. Then I bring up a point about his ACTIONS.

Now you bring up, his wants, and completely made up “feelings”. He has made it clear several times that his draft decision was the right one.

Me get a grip? You talking noise about a subject I am passionate about. If you don’t like being pointed out where you are wrong, don’t post wrong shit

You brought up one point about one player. That doesn’t exactly prove me “completely” wrong.

Lol, you’re obviously passionate. You’re like one of those parents whose kids can do no wrong.

Cowboys this year aren’t entirely unlike the Chiefs last year. Playing well and have had some decent victories but haven’t really played any of the so called elite teams. Last year the Broncos were the test to see if the Chiefs were for real Seattle will do that for the Cowboys.

I’m almost 100% lurker these days but I follow this thread to chuckle at the uber fans yapping at each other. It amuses me.

Feels odd for Browns/Steelers to already be matching up for a second time early in the season. Hope they can show up for a first half and grab what could be a really important divisional game if they want to actually compete this year.

The media lies. That reporter is obviously making that shit up, does he have the actual tape of that conversation?..HATERS…LOLLLLLLLLLL

Matty nailed it -the blindest fandom I’ve ever had the pleasure of laughing at on the webz…now, the Jints, they have the most underrated coach around (out-coached the greatest coach since Lombardi (so I’ve been led to believe) TWICE, and one of the best organizations; won 2 superbowls they probably shouldn’t have, on the field, not with the flags or the secret taping LOLLLLLL; objectively speaking of course…

My criteria for “great”? -the ability to reinvent yourself when conditions change and make adjustments; NOT to do the same shit over and over hoping something finally sticks and can’t get rubbed off.

I do realize that a lot of old school fans hate JJ. I know that a lot of America hates JJ. I have lived in Dallas my entire life. I have friends that hate JJ. I can’t control that and don’t care if you hate him. But, I don’t hate him as GM, and when someone says something that is not accurate about his GM moves, that I can control by pointing out where they are wrong.

JJ as the GM of the Cowboys has made some choices I didn’t agree with. But, as a whole body of work, I believe if it was someone else in that spot no one would be asking for his job. Let’s just look at the past 5 years. The common opinion about the Cowboys by every person involved in the NFL is that they had plenty of talent but…

Look at the coaching staff on this team.

The Cowboys used 7 of their 9 draft picks last year on the defensive side of the ball. Derek asked who have the Cowboys drafted on defense since Lee? I named some players that have started this year or who will start this year that have been drafted since Lee. 2012 the first 4 picks were defense.

If you were to make me choose between having a bad ass, league best offensive line or defensive line. I would choose a bad ass, league best offensive line every day and twice on Sunday. I would not go back and pick Watt over Smith. I would not go back and pick whoever the d-lineman that was available over Martin. You can have 7-8 decent d-lineman and have a bad ass d-line.

Bottom line is that the Cowboys need to win. They need to get another Lombardy trophy. And, I cant wait until Sunday. GO COWBOYS!!!

Best quote ever. Harbaugh on Justin Smith: Chuck Norris calls Justin Smith “sir”.

You guys have to wait that long to play? That sucks.

Anyone think this will actually happen?

I dont think there is cooler last name in football than “Merciless”

Brilliant!

He’s done. He might as well announce his retirement.

Ending up being a great game last night until about 2 minutes to go in the 4th.

You think at any point last night Watt pondered offering to help the Texans pay for a decent QB? ha

But to say that he is a huge part of why they are losing, isn’t wrong, it is an opinion meaning it cant be proven right or wrong necessarily although his overall record leans towards that opinion being correct. He is a .500 GM since the salary cap and has never been able to put up a team that was a consistent winner. 2-7 playoff record and basically been an irrelevant team for most of the decade. Even Al Davis managed to get to a SB in the Salary Cap era.

And who makes the decisions on the coaching staff, and don’t say Garret because Garrett doesn’t get to decide anything, that’s part of the reason why he is there, he is one of the only people that would willingly submit to be JJ’s puppet.

Well yeah, but did he draft well and as a micromanaging GM does he have the position coaches in place to nurture that talent to its maximum potential. Considering the trajectory of most of their draft picks I would say no.

You are right, they do need to win, but they never will and never really have since Jerry had to actual create a football team with his knowledge and not his wallet.
