2014 NFL Thread III

Pretty sure Seattle has been alleged to do this before. Plus Atlanta isnt a perrenial contender.

Deflate gate will go away just like spy gate I mean after all Kraft and Goodell are butt buddies. Dont worry your legacy is secure

"was so sick of the deflategate witch-hunt that is 110% sour grapes from fans and sports writers who pretend the Pats are somehow worse than anyone else, I almost didn’t watch the game. I wasn’t alone. I talked to my wife about the nation embarrassment everyone’s envy and “bread and circus” mentality is. Talked to my good friend about how fucked we really are as a society that a bunch of degenerates are looked up to as much as sports teams are… "

its certainly partly sour grapes I admit, but stop trying to pretend that your team doesent toe the line between what is considered cheating and gamemanship. Either you guys dont give a fuck about getting caught and make it more obvious because of your teams elitist attitude or they actually do “cheat.” more. Im not sure which is worse TBH. Stop making it seem that pats are free from blame.

also please beans dont do your pick out certain facets of what I say to make a retort point.

I admit the Pats are an all time great, juggernaut type of franchize. Tom Brady is w/o a doubt top 5 of all time at least. Bellicheck as well. However the idea that EVERYONE is simply Jelly is ridiculous. Where there is smoke there is fire.

All I ever said that in the back of my head and wether Pat fans care to admit it there head too, some doubt on what their classy team really is guilty of.

I’ll probably get ribbed for admitting this in this particular thread, but watching the Super Bowl on TV has sparked in me an interest in the game of football. What an exciting match-up! I’ve never really been into the game at all, but I might take a chance on America’s most popular sport next year.

Of course, living in Maine means the New England Patriots will be my favored squadron!

It isn’t even about you or anything you’ve said anymore. Chris Carter going out of his way to shit on the Pats after they just won an incredible game really sealed my utter disdain for sports “writers” and just about any commentary at all at this point. I wasn’t far from thinking them all utter garbage and he did it.

And my point the entire time has been the Pats aren’t classy, they aren’t some special case. They are just like every other team that has ever played professional sports and the vast majority of kids that played them as kids too. They just get held to a higher standard, because like you said, perennial contenders, which is envy, plain and simple.

I get it from you and people in your position. You’re a Jet fan, lol. I would love the drama if I was in your shoes too. Fuck sticks like Chris “I never won shit” Carter, they can deflate some nuts.

EDIT: very important are v aren’t lol

Even if I wasnt a Jet fan my stance would remain the same. which is what I stated in my response to your “110%” sour grapes statement.

Love and Hate is the foundation of Sports. Without it, nobody shows up to the games.

And the easiest people to Love/Hate rare those on top. I don’t see many haters on the Jaguars or the Titans. I’m sure there are some, but that number pales in comparison to those who hate the Patriots (or even the Seahawks). It’s amplified when things like Deflategate happen to those teams; solely because of their positioning in their respective sports. As Beansy mentions, there isn’t anywhere near the outcry against the Falcons for pumping in crowd noise as there is for ‘DeflateGate’. Cris Carter isn’t going off the rails about Arthur Blank and the Falcons for creating an unfair playing advantage. I’m half surprised this hasn’t landed in Foxboro since Dimitroff is a Belichick disciple so he probably got the idea from the Master Cheat

All joking aside, as a Sports fan, your love and hate for teams is likely proportionate. If you’re a die hard Steelers fan, you likely have equal disdain for the Ravens. 49ers fan? Probably wish the Seahawks will crumble. And if your team is at the top of the food chain, you’ll have the most haters.

As a Red Sox fan, I can’t stand the Yankees. In the late 90’s and through the 00’s, I hated guys like Jeter and Posada. To this day I dislike Posada. I came around on Jeter since he’s one of the best of all time, but Posada to me was always a fringe player who just came up big when needed. Not something you like seeing as a hater of that team.

Jeez if posada is a fringe player then jason “I’ll challenge ARod to a fight but leave my mask on” Varitek is a complete scrub

But I digress…

Pat fans need to stop playing victims.

I realize that this might make it harder for him to lead a team.

I just hope that he took the initiative to check himself in and comes out of it a better person. Hopefully he will be energized by his sobriety and his teammates rally around him because he did this on his own not pressured to by anyone else. I can only think that this will have him more focused than ever and he will be a better player/person from it.

Now, I really hope he succeeds.

LOL… Perhaps my opinion is slanted.

I’m not playing a victim. I just know I don’t live in a glass house.

I’m pretty sure during SpyGate it came out that the Jets were also videotaping the Patriots sideline.

That shit is what dreams are made of. It’s the kind of thing you “visualize” (fantasize) about when your a kid out throwing the ball around with friends. Greatest thing he’ll ever do… Brady should still give him that piece of shit truck, buy him some uggs, and introduce him to his wife’s friends though.[/quote]

If you look here, I can see why Wilson throws it there. It looks like Butler is playing back for the fade in the corner. (Which, if he had ran the fade, because Butler jumped the route, it would have been a wide open TD.) So in all honesty, this isn’t on Wilson at all. Pre-snap read is “haha, look at that chump, only guy no on his man, hit dude on the quick slant and the pick route takes him out… 2nd ring baby.”

Best part is Browner doesn’t let his man off the line, so the pick fails, and Butler, due to good coaching in the week before, jumped the route.

God this pic gives me chills. I was so depressed at this point, lmao

Fuck.

I lost a lot of respect for Tech when it came out he had been banging sideline reporters the last couple years. Hard to like a dude who cheats on his kid’s mother.

This lol.

Hey man look at it like this:

The Cheatriots are so evil and such vicious cheaters they not only sent Welker to Denver to destroy the Broncos from the inside, they fired Carrol so that he could go and win us a ring by making a stupid call in the Superbowl.

When you say all this cheating stuff is 110 percent sour grapes…you are most certainly playing victim.

Oh and lol

Which means when Carroll was originally fired by the jets Leon Hess (RIP) and the jets started it all. Once again the patriots will skate

And then Butler says, “hey, not only am I going to intercept this ball and get us a ring, but I’m going to fuck up that shit ass wide out while I do it.”

I really wasn’t going to gloat but the call out last night about me thinking the Seahawks could win, really pissed me off. So… It’s on to gloat town, where ever obnoxious Boston fan has live since 2001. 9 titles, across all 4 major sports, and our soccer team isn’t even that bad either.

Hey what’s a Jet fan to do?

Hugs and kisses!

I will say if I was a Pats fan OMG I would be gloating like crazy so I give you credit for taking it easy on Jack
