Rex Ryan press conference today. I hate this hire. And yet somehow I’m starting to like it. “We will not build our offensive game plans around our punter, I’ll tell you that”. I like him better than Marrone already. “Fourth in the league [on defense] was probably a little disappointing. I know we?ll lead the league in defense”, Buffalo has the perfect personel to run the 4-3. The 3-4 under not so much. Points for bravado though. If nothing else this should make losing more entertaining.
Reports breaking today he is considering bringing Sanchez over. I don’t really trust the legitimacy but I guess it’s possible.
I heard that too. They’ve only got 1 qb who else are they gonna bring in?
Butt fumble vs Captian Checkdown. Training camp death match. Sounds about right. Someone asked him about Sanchez at the presser, and he said it was being considered. Not really a surprise, there’s not exactly a wealth of quarterback talent around. Although I’m curious to see if the Bucs cut Glennon. He still seems to be the best QB from 2013, and will be the odd man out (demoted to 3rd stringer) if they draft Marriota.
The QB isn’t gonna matter a hell of a lot in Buffalo if they don’t fix the O line this winter though. Guards were absolutely awful all year, and after drafting Kouandjio in the 2nd round last spring I don’t think he even dressed for a game this season. Worst offensive line in the NFL. Can’t run behind it, can’t pass behind it, just terrible.
How come no one asked him what he is gonna say to a defense that absolutely devoured his team last year. He’s a bit of a buffoon but he becomes your buffoon and you end up liking him.
He has improved however in the presser he did not guarantee a championship he guaranteed a pursuit of a championship. I’d like to see CJ Spiller teamed up with Chris ivory now that we got fucking chan gailey
Gailey runs a good offense. He’ll make good use of Percy Harvin. I’m interested to see where Spiller ends up this spring, and what he does when he gets there. He did not fit the Doug Marrone / Nate Hacket offense at all, and watching them send him up the middle behind a line that couldn’t make holes if their life depended on it made me rage at the tv all game long when he wasn’t hurt. He’s not really gonna fit the Ryan / Roman offense either, so I don’t see the Bills offering him a big contract. Could see him ending up in Dallas if Murray keeps turning his nose up at offers. Do not want to see him as a Jet under Gailey as a Bills fan.
Am interested to see where Schwartz lands too. He doesn’t do anything fancy, but there are a lot of teams that would do well to hire him. The Giants should call him for sure.
Kinda like how I felt when fucking Marty morniwheg would do the same with CJ2K (lol) which should be as good as gone after his arrest hopefully. You guys gotta give EJ a full chance , that being said Sanchez as a fall back option if he shits the bed is not a horrible backup plan.
Cousins will be floating around somewhere too. I could see him going somewhere and doing decently well.
The media stated the Skins have found their new D-coord but there has been no official word yet and it sounds like the media may have jumped the gun. If it is true, i’ve hear speculation that it’s more of a hole fill as the GM plans to blow things up this next year. I guess Jay Gruden may not be employed for long.

Gruden is a OC, not ready for HC
I could see Cousins in Houston, with that system he would be a good fit.
John Fox to Chicago according to Bleacher Report. First time the Bears have ever hired a HC with head coaching experience, unless you count old man Halas rehiring himself in the '50s.
I’m cautiously optimistic - waiting to see who the OC will be and what that will mean for Cutler.

Cutler to Texans
I think if you look at Cutler’s 27 turnovers as a HC, you’re thinking to yourself that you can game-plan your way out of half of those next season. Get the ball out of his hands faster by committing to the run and those fumbles go away. Someone else said it right, too. He’s not a volume passer. If he’s throwing 400 passes a season, then the odds are something is going to go terribly wrong on some of those.
One of many rumors: Cutler to St. Louis for Sam Bradford.

I could see Fox putting a foot up Cutler’s ass.
no one can put a foot up Cutler’s ass. lol. He is what he is.
As for Fox, I’m fine with it. It’s not a sexy pick but at least the guy has a bunch of HC experience and a couple superbowl appearances. He is very conservative and will focus on the run game and defense, which isn’t a bad thing with Cutler at the helm (which I believe he will be).

Bingo, Cutler is like Romo, you limit his attempts to screw up and he looks great. You give him more passes than your RB gets touches and you are flirting with disaster. They are not QB’s that can carry a team. They have to establish running games to be winners or they are screwed. The Cowboys finally figured that out this year. Lets see if the Bears can.

I was hoping we had gotten a 2-for-1 with Jay and his brother lurking in the background. I didn’t necessarily mind the call out of RG3 but at the same time, with the media the way it is, there has to be an understanding that things get out of hand fast.
I could see Cousins there in Houston. I’d like to see him have a chance somewhere.

Eli is as old as Rivers, I believe. They came out of the same draft.
That being said, I agree. It’s a bit reminiscent of when Favre was the only elite qb left from the 90s when Marino, Kelly, Young, etc. retired.
Yes, Eli, Rivers, and Big Ben were all in the same draft class.

I would not mind at all if Washington got rid of Gruden. It would prove their upper management is not NFL caliber. They had Mike Shanahan and did not let him build their team up, he is an excellent coach with skins on the wall. Now they have a young, good coach that will be successful in this league as a head coach and they might get rid of him? Let them be idiots and keep having a revolving door at the head coach position.
