Really surprised they picked that flag up. Seen a lot of guys eat a PI on less than that. Gonna be a lot of crying about it in Detroit this week.

gif at the top of that page. That’s pretty good coverage really, he just needed to turn his head. Not so sure that’s getting caught even if he doesn’t touch him. Does look like the kind of thing that normally gets called though.

I think if the refs didn’t pick up the flag so late on that play it wouldn’t be such a big deal. I mean technically it was pass interference because the defender was not playing the ball, but if the refs never threw a flag in the first place it would have just been whatever. I’ve seen worse plays not get called.

On that note, at least that game was close compared to the others. Lions should have won that game, they just couldn’t make the right plays when it mattered. The Lions seem like the Bengals, can’t win a big game when it matters.

You give Cowboys fans a bad name.

Tony romo is a little fucking bitch who doesn’t deserve to win.

I can’t wait for his wittle toes to fucking freeze and fall off at lambeau field.

And Jason Garrett is a child molestor.

I have never seen a flag get picked up after the penalty was both announced to the crowd and the yard sticks had begun to move. If that play gets no-called from the start, or the flag is picked up after a referee huddle, I don’t think there’s nearly as many jimmies rustled(mostly just Lion’s fans).

Wow that was random and interesting spin on things.

Detroit fan?

Was the flag getting picked up a huge mistake by the refs? Yes, because PI is a judgement call, they had already made the call and decided to change it inexplicably. If they hadn’t called PI it would have been a very easy to understand no call although by the letter of the law it was PI and there was also illegal contact constituting a hold earlier in the route, both minimal. Flag thrown or not thrown, it was an ok call either way. They literally found a way to make it a bad call and show (perceived or real) bias in favor of the 'Boys. It was one of the single strangest things I have ever seen a officiating crew do and all of their ability to officiate games in the future should be called into question.

Did it cost Detroit the win? Who knows, possibly, probably, no way to know for sure.

Was it the overall reason that Detroit lost? No

Oh I like his intelligent commentary, like when he says “If this team expects to win, they’ll have to score more points than the other team.” If he didn’t clarify, how would you know?

I reckon he does not care for the Cowboys. I am kinda pulling for them this year. Romo’s back situation certainly does not bode well for his future.
I will give him 2 more years in the big leagues, max. I just don’t think his body can take much more. I know he’s a tough guy, but you can only be so tough for so long, eventually health issues win. When it comes to chronic back issues, it’s matter over mind.

I think Carolina will win their next playoff game too.
You think they are going to beat the Packers?

I don’t. Not unless Suh really fucked up Roger’s leg.

Just few weeks back, ESPN Mag ran a good piece on Suh. Dude is smart (engineering degree) and does a lot off the field for the community.

Clearly, competition brings out an ugly side of him.

And of course, there’s no excusing such nonsense.
I don’t doubt Suh is smart, but he is an asshole. I don’t really care how good he is, I wouldn’t want him on my team.

That looked like pass interference to me, had the defender been looking back for the ball then maybe not. But because he didn’t try to turn his head and look for the ball, the flag should have been thrown.

Romo said earlier this season that after football he will have to deal with what all of this is doing to his body, but right now this is all his life is about. Gotta love the guy. Tough, tough s.o.b.
