2012 Comp Season

Nice bench

Yep. A static lunge. You should have just pretended that was you in that vid. That’s what I do. Find nice avi pics and vids of other people. Naw. I’m just kidding.

Curious why you use the smith.

I wish I could just drop the weight like that after a set. My basement floor would need some repair afterwards. Great bench numbers.

Thanks BD.
Naw kpsnapp, too many pics and vids of me running around on here. Sides, he’s sportin a mullet and purple drawers! Here’s a picture of me doing my best lift today. Think I’ll call it the Rack Lean.

Why the smith? When I use a regular incline bench it seems to hit me mainly in the front delts. Something about the smith hits me right in the upper pecs.
Steve, I so want to do that. Get through with the lift and just kinda distainfully drop the weights off your back. That’s from a 4 part series of Werner training. He does some crazy stuff, inclding hops, jumps, runs, etc.

Nice benching and nice pressing-

glad you liked those video’s he trained in some crazy facility.
I saw them at a seminar I went to in the mid 90’s

and Ksnap we call those bulgarian split squats round here.

Damn good training Harry. Glad you aint melting away. Its hotter’n hell here too. Still I’ll take the heat over last winter anyway. Thanks for leaving the light on…

That’s right. I knew that. Haven’t done them in awhile. Remember them being painful. Probably why I haven’t done them in awhile!

x2 I’m not coordinated enough not to cut my own head off doing them.

Those are some nice front presses. (aka millie’s?)

Do the hang snatches bother your shoulders? I’ve never tried em, but they sound like fun.

Yea, those are Bulgarian Split Squats. And the rack lean, I seem to be REAL good at that, not sure if I’m supposed to be though. And nice photo too. Strange to see you out of the dress… Er, uh kilt.

Got to say I looked into yout videos on your hub. I have to say one of them realy shows off your hand strength. The one where you are holding the “shot”.

Hang snatch don’t bother the shoulder’s at all, OP, as long as you keep the weight in near the body. That’s me in drag User. You really have to concentrate on the rack leans to get the most out of them. Cup of coffee in hand while doing them multiples their effectiveness.
BD, There was a reason I posted that back when. I think we were talking about grip work or something.

Took a swim after work tonight. Finally got a few downpours so the river was running pretty fast and muddy. Out 500m real fast, back, against the current, 500m real slow.

X3 on the bulgarian split sqaut. another name is scissor sqaut.

Harry you do walking barbell lunges ?

Oh and good pressing in here.

Good work, and that’s an excellent rack lean!

Fischer, have never tried them. The gym I use doesn’t have a lot of open space. Might try them on a weekend morning. And thanks.
Thanks Schmidt. The trick to a really great rack lean is giving the impression of nonchalance while struggling to hold the position. Takes years of practice.

After work tonight

do that to your uniform shirts too - i bet all the ladies on your route will invite you in for a “glass of sweet tea”

big swole

hang snatches dont bother my shoulder but DB snatches do.
actually bench and squats bother it the most.

nice work- I like the pic, its cool how you are the only one within a mile of the rack.

You deserve to cut the sleeves off your shirts. All that hard work. And you have a great physique.

Those guns will be a model for gun control!

Harry is a fine specimen of a man, no doubt. (no eye contact made)

The “rack lean”, however, is a position best served by the fairer sex.
