Needle nose pliers, bottle of whiskey and I’ll take that stent out for you. No charge. Check your prostate while I’m at it if you’d like. Just PM me your adress.
Is this an open offer for all folks in the old lifters’ home?

Harry, if I look that good at 56, they’ll all be sayin’ I be on 'da Juice!..Lemonade, right?

hey harry, in 3 hours i am taking the postal service clerk exam #710. be one of the dummies that types in the handwritten addresses so you can have a barcode, if I pass.

Thanks to all for the well wishes and input. Sorry I haven’t posted much, hard to follow all the good training when you can’t do anything but thumb presses on the remote. The expected discomfort of the stent removal tomorrow is offset by the anticipation of hitting the gym right after. Hopefully, some actual lifting to report after. Found this old picture on my cell phone. Think it’s from about a month ago. Not sure if I was tryin to flex up or what. As tank tops in the gym seem to be the height of gauchery on this site I thought I post it. Oh well, no GQ cover again this year.
This might cheer you up. My oldest has joined the Jr. High track team. For some reason hes all about the throwing events. So looks like I might have a budding shot putter on my hands. I’ve got a feeling the idea might have been put there after he seen his first Highlander game.

First, they don’t knock you out when they take out the stent. Second, the damn thing was about 14" long and produced an extremely unpleasent feeling. The whole removal took a couple of seconds and can best be discribed as the doc doing a “grip and rip”. The joy of having my private parts liberated quick replaced any discomfort.
Stopped by the gym on the way home and to my surprise, found weights feeling heavy. This even though I felt great and even well rested. Deload crap sucks. Did some light chest and back.
USAF reopened the airport at Yokota in record time and the big transports planes (C5s/17s) can get with supplies and equipment. Red Horse and the SeaBees did a hell of a job working together.
Thanks Null and Matty. Everytime I say I’m gonna slow down there’s just that one more meet pops up.
Steve, darn, I would have took you up on that if you’d have least offered dinner.
PG, I’ve been hittin the lemonade hard. Still drinkin coffee but been off the sodas and water’s still only good as a mixer and for swimmin in.
MJ, I do believe that’s the first time you’ve changed your avatar. Addresses? That’s what all the writing on them envelops is! Don’t many rocket scientist work for the PO so I don’t think you had a problem.
Bulldog, make sure he learns good form first. That’ll serve him well for the rest of his career. Back when I started there were a few obscure books on throwing. Now, you can find vids of every throw for the past 50 years on the net. Sometimes, technology is great.

Glad to hear the procedure went OK. Sounds yucky. I’ve had catheters in my body, but not through there and was under anathesia.

14’’ long…fuck. I’m cringing just thinking about it.

How’s it hangin’, Harry?

Lol, that’s rude, PG.

Of course, we are starting to wonder if Harry had to be admitted to the hospital again to recover from the catheter removal.

It’s hanging great and to the left, PG. And no, no more hospital dramas, Ogre. Wife’s currently visiting the Philippines and between work, gym, dogs, family, been extremely busy. As I don’t have time to read everyone’s threads and comment I’ve kinda neglected mine.
Schedule so far. T&F meet, Tn Senior championships, 30 April. And then just to prove how intelligent I really am, 5 May, yeah, a Thursday after work, Tn Senior Champioships Swimming, 200 Breaststroke, 400 freestyle. Shuffleboard looked challenging but I figured I pass on that.
Looks like I’m not going to be able to make the Senior Olympics in Houston. Big scheduling conflict and use up too much leave time.
Been hittin the gym and pool. Trying to get some throwing in but only as much as I can do in my yard. So far this week:

Sat after work:

Swimming (indoor)
100, 100, 200 Breaststoke

3 x 400 freestyle
When I got to the pool it occured to me I had no idea how to train for a swimming competition. Oh well, get in the water, go fast as can. Maybe they’ll put some aquatic wildlife in the pool to make it interesting.

As I was finishing up the girls swim coach from one of our local colleges came over to talk to me. She was wearin one of those new speedo second skin LZR racing swim suits. Damn. Good thing I was standing in the water.

I’m orderin pizza for me and the dogs. Such is the swinging life of the (temporary) bachelor.

So can we assume you’ve recovered from the catheter?

You should have asked her for tips on how to train, but maybe you weren’t thinking properly…

hit it like a pinata, when its been wrapped up all nice like that…

Nice to see that your back at it bro.

Glad your difficulty has passed…

Cav, fully recovered in that department.
User, I actually did get some advise from her. “stretch your arms out and enter the water at less of an angle. You’re not open water swimming, you don’t have to lift over the waves.”
MJ, she was built, and wet, and damn near naked, and squating right in front of my face, and…made me wish I was young again, maybe 50. The wife better get home soon.
Thanks Matty, trying to get my routine back. Still not firing on all cylinders.
Didn’t pass Null, they blasted that sucker out. I was violated.

This evening, had a cup of coffee with the owner while I was waiting for the guys to show up. BBer, 47, hasn’t competed for about 6 years. He’s thinking of getting into some geezer competition. Think he’s going to enter one of Old Navy’s meets down in Birmingham.

After the rest of the gang wandered in.

Do you think that swim coach is telling her friends about the ‘hottie’ she saw at the pool today? Or about the older gentleman who needed help with his swimming.

I usually never feel comfortable with the Smith Machine however, for inclines however I love them the stretch you get at the end of the press is great…good stuff Harry

One day I will be able to bench like Harry. maybe…
