2011 World Start List

none of the links are working on my damn mac

I had to install Sopcast player but I think you might be able to get that for a mac with some screwing around.

Let’s see if this works.

(I uploaded a video, not showing up right away)

The mole thing is crazy!

spoiler
5kg down after the Sn, but comes back with 6kg to beat the PRK lifter!
OMG the Columbian is a BEAST, SUPER SUPER strong on the pull, clean and jerk, JUST VERY SLICK, REALLY impressive lifting. Too bad he missed his first 170, ended up with 170 I think. Missed 175 which he had locked and just a bit unlucky on the recovery, 175 would have given him 2nd in the CJ, 4th again this year and 4th last year.
PRK lifter was also very impressive to carry on CJ after his shoulder tweak on the 150

56 was also cool!

China are doing well but not anywhere as dominate as I thought they would be.

OMG 53kg woman Cj 130 for a new WR! REALLY impressive, f0ck she catches the bounce SOOOOOOOO sweetly!

As you can tell I’m f0cking PUMPED!!! I wasn’t going to go train yesterday but after watching the girl CJ 130 I HAD to go

Irawan is impressive as well. Just doesn’t have monster squats like the rest of them but he sticks the Sn and the Jerk very solidly.

Where can we see the list?

BTW what about the 69, 77, and 85kg guys? ;)[/quote]

IWF.net

there was no real changes to the original lists that were out several weeks ago in those categories so i didnt mention them except for rybakov being in B session, 77s will also be great, 4 lifters with a 370 entry total, including the korean olympic champion with the super clean and jerk who will make his come back after being absent for 2 years.

He was very strong at the Olympics!

Man so pumped about the Worlds!

yeah I’ve been watching the scoreboard in between failing live streams… feel free to add any vital updates, I’m sure I’m missing a lot

62 was a pretty cool comp
-omg the columbian was really impressive!
-looked tall compared to everyone else
-he was CHAINED to the squat rack at birth, such easy recoverys, sick,
-really unlucky with his first 170…had he made it, it would have given more of a chance
-unlucky on the 175 for silver in the CJ!

PRK coach lifters dropped it a bit imo, cost him the total gold
-up 5kg on the Chinese guy who only did 145! 150 for the PRK! +6kg as he is also lighter so the Chinese guy has to lift 1kg more!
-PRK guy makes 161, lowered his starters or made 165 or something like that, makes 170,
-Chinese guy makes 170 or 171. PRK guys for 175, gets it over head, FAILS the recovery after pretty much having it! omg! WHY did the coaches make him do 175?! They should have taken 173 and forced the Chinese guy to do 179…
-Chinese guy misses the 176 in front…
-nails it on his last lift! Booyah!

Feel gutted for the Columbian guy,
PRK teams hould have made him do 173…
Chinese guy pulls it out of the bag

69 Chinese guys tomorrow!

hopefully Oleg Chen upsets the chinese today…

Oleg Chen has the closest snatch grip I’ve ever seen.

How close did Mete Binay come on his last snatch attempt? I only saw the last half of the clean and jerks.

In other news, Liao Hui’s records are off the IWF website.

He missed it behind.

Videos!

62 Snatch

62 CJ

Courtsey of tamlm :), videos are not mine.

Oleg has a crazy close grip! Very sharp and strong. Not quite up there with the rest of them in terms of squats.

Binay was close.

Chinese were good, not as impressive as before, but they are both 20 and up and coming. Both very different styles. The guy that came 3rd overall had a more classical style imo, really fought hard for his 185, solid CJ! Other dude, looked good for much more. He did 188 at the Asian games or so apprently or the Chinese Champs.

77 tonight
