Indeed it sounds like its time for something new. Time to shake it up! What in particular is wrong with your appearance?[/quote]

It’s all good. I’m just being a dumbass.

Joe commit to something and do it.

if you want the abs you don’t eat/lift like a powerlifter.

if you want the max results than you won’t see your abs.

deal and move on. abs are overrated anyways. give me a good set of shoulders that look like they can throw some heavy weight around anyday.

On the other hand I need to switch it up once in a while myself too. When is your next meet? I say take a month to do some crappy complexes - enough until you want to puke and you are begging to go back to some heavy lifts again. This will help you lose the extra fluff and remind you why love the barbell so much.

I need to get back on the conditioning wagon more than anything I think. Part of it is just me being a dumbass.

I’m doing conditionning for the next 4 weeks and then I’m throwing it out the window happily.

I’m begining to think I will pressing more with a wide grip than I do right now. Will be interesting to see.

I’ve pushed my grip out to having my index finger an the rings which, I believe, is the widest legal grip for comps.

Consistently over 300 is cool. Bench is looking solid.

Sounds like its time to make a change Joe, even if it just for a little while.

I did a high-rep, bodybuilder workout for a while this spring, and even though it wasn’t really my thing, the change was good for me, and I felt rejuvenated when I started 5/3/1 for the first time afterwards.

we lost our sixteen year old calico cat Thursday to cancer. My wife is distraught and it happened one year and one day after her father died on cancer.

She is a wreck and if my biopsy on Thursday is bad I’m not sure how I’ll keep her held together.

I’m lifting four days in a row so I have fri-sun to let the skin heal. Given this I’m trying to use calories to keep me performing without the normal rest days.

Good luck buddy.

Tough stuff, good luck Joe

My sympathies Joe, hope all goes well this Thursday

Dang Joe, my best to you and your family. Best wishes on you biopsy.

Sorry about the bad news Joe and good luck for the biopsy.

That is alot of losses to the Big C in a short amount of time. I hope that you have some family and friends support to help you assist your wife to deal with the situation.

As for your biopsy, I think you’ll be fine. You don’t seem super worried about it.

Sorry about the cat Joe - we lost our dog over the winter, and my wife was heartbroken.

Best of luck for the biopsy.

I’m not worried about it. I work with doc and they think it is cancer but that it just needs to be removed and to ahve a cautionary PET scan.

Mostly I’m worried that any result other than just a skin discoloration will really upset my wife.
