I cannot decide if I am going to lift at SPF Worlds. It just seems stupid that I would even be allowed to after two meets.
If you qualify and you want to, why not?
I’m still trying to get in the ballpark for nationals in my fed.
Again, well done. Hitting weights you missed in practice is great work.
Hard to believe your regular squat stance is narrower than in the vids. Is it possible that your depth issues might be due to too narrow a stance? I’m no expert, but your hips need some room to be able to drop down low.
And your bench grip looks pretty narrow too -better for shoulder health of course, but a wider grip would mean bigger #s I’d imagine.
More knowledgeable lifters: please chime in if your opinion differs.

I have to believe you are right about width on both lifts.

Good luck upping those maxes! Whats your strategy?
Thanks, I have slightly less than three months before Worlds so I plan on doing 2 5/3/1 cycles and then use the rest of the time to dial in my attempts. Learning to get more out of my wraps would alos be a good thing

Joe congratulations on the meet results, I think you can make your goals, you’re strong enough for sure. Are you going to crank your belt a bit tighter on squat days, I think you said it made a difference in the meet?
Training the heavy walkouts is a good thing. Is that part of 5/3/1 or did you just add it in? And are you following the new 5/3/1 for PLers that incorporates heavy singles?
