2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Halak was amazing, and it’s always entertaining to see the 8 seed take down the 1 seed (as long as it’s not the Sharks). Props to the Habs!

Can’t wait for the Sharks and Wings to get their series underway tomorrow, should be an amazing match-up. Our Canada line better show up or it could get ugly.

I’m also excited to see Savard back in action in the second round, he is a great player and will be skating with a little something extra.[/quote]

Yeah, you couldn’t help pulling for the guy. He was at times before a fully loaded firing squad and managed to keep everything out.

We have had your number in the playoffs for quite a while which worries me. However the Wings are on their game now when it really matters which should worry you.

debraD, this really makes me sad. I thought we had something special between us!!!

Caps got more “shots on goal” but none of those really looked to be threatening. They made me sad too

:frowning:

It should be a very intense series to say the least, I can’t wait for it to get started tonight. I think it’s really going to come down to whose goalie can play completely out of their mind.

Is it just me, or does this coach look like what Charlie Brown would look like all growed up lol.

Mike Green is such a fraud. It’s amazing to me that he’s even under consideration for the Norris each year let alone getting nominated as a finalist.

This makes me feel good about Detroit’s chances. Howard is growing up before my eyes and is playing exceptional playoff hockey. And we all know how Nabokov is in big situations coughCanadavsRussiacough :stuck_out_tongue:

Yea Nabby needs to bring his best for sure if the Sharks are going to have a chance. The fact that our big 3 only had 1 goal in the first round is also a little disconcerting, they need to fire up and put some rubber in the pack of the net.

Pittsburgh now has to go up against the hottest goalie and the Bruins bypass the pens and get the Flyers with home ice. I hate to say it, but I may like the habs just a little bit right now.

hahaha. awesome commercial

Round 2 starts tonight! anybody got any predictions for this round?

Sharks in 7
Canucks in 6
Canadiens in 7 (because it would be a great story, and the pengs already have a cup)
Bruins in 6

Bruins 6
Canadiens 6
Chicago 7
Detroit 5

(I just really want to see original six conference finals)

Finally. The Sharks showed a glimpse of why they are the number one seed, and got some production from their stars. Great start.

It doesn’t hurt that Pavelski is playing off his rocker.

What game were you watching? I didn’t watch the last 5 minutes, but Detroit controlled like 45 minutes of what I watched. Unfortunately a 1:19 lapse can be three goals, and lose you the game. It was however well played by both sides. I expect this one to be a lot of fun.

x2 for 4 of orig. six conference finals!

Definitely, Detroit carried the play most of the game. It’s a shame that they forgot to play for a minute and lost because of it. Oh well, it’s only one game. That’s why they play a series.

Oh, no, no. It was fun seeing the Bruins get this far, but now we’re talking Philly. Philly must prevail.

Flyers in 6

X2. The question I have is what’s the over/under for fights in this series lol.

I think for the first two games it will be atleast two scraps per game, both in the first period. This series is going to be a battle to say the least. Chara vs Carbomb will be good for about five seconds. If one team gets out to a big lead it’s gonna get ugly.

I have nothing against the Pens but I would really like the Habs to win.

Say what? That Maine water has made you crazy!

Bruins are then gonna go on to win the conference. You heard it here first!
