Finally. The Sharks showed a glimpse of why they are the number one seed, and got some production from their stars. Great start.

It doesn’t hurt that Pavelski is playing off his rocker.
What game were you watching? I didn’t watch the last 5 minutes, but Detroit controlled like 45 minutes of what I watched. Unfortunately a 1:19 lapse can be three goals, and lose you the game. It was however well played by both sides. I expect this one to be a lot of fun.

x2 for 4 of orig. six conference finals!
Definitely, Detroit carried the play most of the game. It’s a shame that they forgot to play for a minute and lost because of it. Oh well, it’s only one game. That’s why they play a series.

The scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole tale of the game. San Jose clearly stole one while being outplayed for most of the game. They found a way to win, which is all that really matters in the end; I’ll give them that. However, I’m not worried about Detroit’s chances based on what I saw in game 1.

The scoreboard does tell the entire story because the only thing that matters is who won. Period.

Pens absolutely owned the Habs last night. They delivered on the power plays for sure. Only game 1 though!

For that game. If they play the rest of the series like that game, they’re fish food.

Savard is the man. Period.

QFT. So happy he got A goal, let alone the game winner.

The sharks still haven’t proven anything. It’s like calling scoreboard when you’re up 1-0 in a game. Lots of hockey to still be played. San Jose still has a few things to be worried about, while Detroit should be confident in their ability to win when they stay focused.

That Chelsea Dagger sure is a catchy tune… here’s to not hearing it again until October. ;')

I’ll see your Kesler happy dance, and raise you a Bernier.

I was only commenting on the game that has been played, not the outcome of the entire series. As a Sharks fan, I fully understand that nothing is done until it’s done and that our #1 seed doesn’t mean anything.

haha! there’s this other video of Kesler dancing towards bernier in the locker room after the final game against the kings, I haven’t found a gif of that yet. I thought it was great.

No lol. Made for a lame game, even if I was pleased with the outcome. Everyone else I watched the game with were thrilled however.

They only played it once but damn it was stuck in my head all night.

God why are hockey players so awesome (from Kesler vid)? Maybe it’s just because their Canadians.

The Habs are making things interesting, and I like it.
