I think the pressure is on the Lakers to win this game considering what the Celts did yesterday. You don’t want to be engaged in a longer series when ur team and ur finals opponent (Celts) are both older teams that benefit from the rest and ur opponent closes out their series first.

Don’t think anyone on the Lakers would admit this, but I agree that it’s added pressure. Oh, and Drew’s av has to be the guy with “EXREME” tatted on his chest. How do you not notice the missing ‘X’, and then flaunt the monumental fuck up on a public forum?

Actually, his tat is missing the ‘T’ not the ‘X’ haha.
Anyways, I’m still sticking with the Suns to win this game and score 120+ points, but the Lakers should put a wrap on it in five and play the C’s.
The Magic are done.
The Magic ended up being even more pathetic that the Cavs. I actually bet someone in the beginning of the season that the Celts would come out of the east and she was on the Cavs bandwagon. I told her no way but as the season progressed I was thinking the Cavs and the Magic looked fantastic.
I was lulled into thinking that these two would be beasts inthe postseason but that goes to show you how different the regular and post season are. Cavs and Magic = pathetic.

Haha, wow. Zoned out there man. I even spelled it out and still fucked that up.

I think it all came down to that game 3 in Boston in the Cavs series. They got absolutely humiliated, and those guys in that locker room that know their contending years are almost done took stock of everything, and started playing like they can/should. This team started the season 23-5, look every bit like the best team in the league(neck and neck with the Lakers and their equally fantastic start).
I always prefer to give a team credit, than harp on the other one, especially when said team has put some fucking clamps on defensively for the last handful of games. Plus it’s not like the Magic didn’t fight in game 1/2(gotta make those free throws Vince).

I agree with you. I think both things can be true. The Celts showed their true toughness and lockdown defensive presence AND the Cavs and Magic wilted like pathetic facades. ![]()
why doesnt stoudamire give this much effort every game??
Wow, they won a game, I’m a bit disappointed in Phil’s decision to keep Kobe in the ENTIRE second half. He didn’t have much left towards the end.

+1000. A friend and I were talking about this exact thing. If Amare played like this every game, he’d be a top 10 guy. Instead, he’s just good but not great due to his effort (or lack thereof).
Kobe must be frustrated with Bynum’s injuries. 3 postseasons in a row. It may’ve cost them the championship 2008 and might be the difference this year too.
I have a feeling the c’s will be copying from this game when they face them.
and mike brown is fired

You can’t get career highs every night.

Y’all do realize that the Suns played as well as they could, the Lakers weren’t defending the pick and roll, were missing shots they normally make, Stoudamire had a career night and the Suns still only won by a small margin, right? The Lakers hit those shots next game, Stoudamire comes back to earth, they play the P&R better, win on the road and close it out in 5. No one should be worried about last nights game.
I know. Let’s not read into last night more than what’s really there. Lakers still taking it in 5.
The freethrow discrepancy was rediculous last night. It was like Stoudemier was King James or something and got the foul call every time he drove last night. He doesn’t go over 30 points all playoffs then breaks out for 40+??? what? Anyway, I’m still not worried about that game cause like Flash said they’ll win game 4 and close it out at home in 5. I just wish Bynum wasn’t getting hurt all the damn time.
.greg.
The freethrow discrepancy was ridiculous. I’m not blaming all that on the refs giving the advantage to the home team however. The Suns actually were aggressive taking the ball inside while the Lakers shot jump shot after jump shot. They took 34 3 point attempts alone and only made 9. The Lakers made their own bed in this one. Plain and simple. The Suns earned that win, the Lakers bench didn’t show up, the team wasn’t aggressive, and they didn’t make the necessary adjustments in the game.
And the game was still close after Stoudemire went off for 42 points and Side Show Bob had 20 points himself…
And although I’m a big believer in Bynum he just seems too injury prone. If the Lakers have the chance to trade for Chris Bosh in the offseason, they should do everything in their power to make that happen.
