2010 NBA Playoffs

Yeah I said most, and who was at the helm of the championships and who do you think had the biggest influence on him? Its minor details like that which deviate from the point.

Yeah but how much is leadership already internally generated and how much is photosynthesized from a third party like a coach. Kobe has had Phil his entire career (well most, when he started and now) and LeBron hasn’t really had that premier influence.

His premier influences have been Warren Buffet and Jay-Z so far since starting his basketball career. Maybe its just being hopeful and snooping around for something but can you imagine a LeBron led team captained by a Phil Jackson. You can’t argue against the potential there.

dude, this is ur best post. I agree. I think he needs a coach that can influence and model his leadership skills. So far everything has been handed to him and he doesn’t know what it means to be a real leader. I’m not saying he can’t get there nor have I ever. If he gets this mentor he can reach those levels I speak of.

I just don’t like how everyone has crowned this guy the best when he really hasn’t accomplished much of anything yet but his potential is enormous.

Mike Dantoni LBJ would average 35 12 12 a night.

That’s an interesting scenario. Dantoni coaches in NY. The number one destination on the rumor mill right now is Chicago. Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, potentially Lebron and cap space to sign another top tier player and Lebron is changing his number from 23 this year so it doesn’t compete with Jordan’s.

Couldn’t cut through the bias in this thread with a chainsaw.

At least there’s 1 series that will be going on that people will be able to discuss without being ridiculous about it.

No, you said when he started and now. He didn’t have Jackson 'til damn near halfway through his career.

I’m convinced you just like writing ridiculous shit to see how people respond. He wouldn’t fit an D’antoni’s offense at all 'cause the ball never moves when he’s on the floor. This is the NBA, not NBALIVE on your xbox man. 35 12 and 12 does not exist as season stats.

As I stated, James would never go near Chicago. The guy’s scared of Jordan’s legacy, that’s why he’s changing his number so he won’t have to compete with the GOAT. I’ll predict that as long as Jordan’s still in peoples memory no superstar player would sign there. Too much pressure.

this could be true but we all saw what a LBJ triple double in the playoffs means and it doesn’t necessarily mean getting a W.

.greg.

Mamba was drafted in 96, Phil came in 1999. Bryant was on the bench his first year and only started to get into the all star convo the next two years. things really blew up when phil got there.

which series would that be?

Personally I think both of the Conference Finals series will be really good. The way all 4 of those teams are playing right now should make for some really exciting games.

No shit he was on the bench his first year. He was behind Eddie Jones and an apparently immortal Byron Scott. Dude, you still have no idea of what you’re talking about. He was an all-star in his second season. Things “blowing up” had nothing to do with Phil Jackson.

If anything the triangle offense has hindered Bryant’s scoring outbursts and individual numbers. The offense is predicated on ball movement and works best when you have an able passing big man up top and constant player and ball movement to find the best shot.

If you look at the percentage Bryant actually has the ball in his hands it’s proportionately pretty small. Also, his assist numbers could/should be way higher but in the triangle one pass generally leads to another. If the NBA scored assists like hockey Bryant would lead the league, haha.

The more I think about it the more I think Boston has a shot to make it hell for the Magic. Rondo’s a big, physical pg who can put the clamps on Nelson to a degree and the whole team plays pretty good perimeter D, and the whole team plays dirty enough to frustrate the shit outta Howard. The only thing with that is if Rondo tries that shit he tried on Hinrich last year Nelson might kill him.

Howard or Orlando’s gunners Boston has to choose their poison.

No he isn’t. Either Chicago or L.A. would be the best places for Lebron to win imo. I’m hoping for Chicago that team is won star player short of being an elite team in the east regardless if James decides to go their.

Dude, what you think and reality have proven to be two entirely different things. Chicago isn’t even a consideration in James’ mind, and I don’t give a shit what some dickriding headline chasing sportscaster has to say. HE WOULD NEVER GO THERE, END OF STORY.

Lol I think that Texas heat is getting to your brain. What are you trying to argue? You’re just arguing for the sake of arguing. Are you saying that even without Phil Jackson Kobe would have developed his leadership the way he has? No, you agree that without Phil Jackson Kobe wouldnt be the ‘player’ (not just scoring the basketball) he is now. So shut up =).

Red means the Magic/Celts series because Kobe and LeBron aren’t involved.

Glen Davis > Shaq.

Oh yeah, Shannon Brown looks like Chris Brown.

And I think the fact that you’re so far away from the game has distorted the way you see things. I don’t agree to anything you wrote. Kobe Bryant would be a HOF’er with or without Jackson, and he would’ve had a few championships as well [with Shaq]. When you can bring valid points to the table and not parrot nonsense from the other side of the world you can argue with me. Until then, you shut up [smiley face].
