2010 NBA Playoffs

Wow I just got back from a day at university and I find out the Celtics have defeated the Cavs. Wow. Honestly I’m speechless. LeBron with a triple double but its not enough. Another disappointing year for him; the king loses his chair another year. I’m going to stop with the speculation and just say you guys are right; as of right now hes not in the greats mix (although I never before claimed he was).

Anyway regarding the other stuff. Rand, i think its pretty disingenuous to say that i am biased in any of my commentary when you and Flash are much more. Pointing out the other side of Kobe scoring 81 points is fair. Whats the use of scoring 81 if you barely win and get eliminated in the playoffs.

Stuff like that is being fair, not shit like proclaiming Kobe is some kind of super hero. he is open to criticism, you can repute it but you cant call criticism a bias against.

For real!!! Also, did you ask what the point of scoring 81 points is? The point is it’s the single greatest personal achievement in sports of the modern era. I’d bet money that we will not see anything close to that in our lifetime. That is fucking insane.

Dudley series MVP, y3s.

LOL I haven’t laughed this hard in a while.

Lebron hardly sucked turnovers yes but he had a solid triple double. And come on the Cav’s other “all stars” suck period especially the rest of that team and the coach. God I hope Lebron goes to NY under Dantoni’s system watch out NBA.

Let me make my point a little clearer since you are side stepping it. Yes or no question, do the Lakers win 00, 01, 02, without Shaq on the team?[/quote]
Red, u r getting more retarded. Could Jordan have won without Pippen? Magic without Kareem? It’s a stupid ass argument.

As already stated, it’s really hard to get in a rhythym when one guy holds the ball for 15+ seconds and then expects his teamamtes to hit contested jumpers with the clock winding down. The Cavs have one of the deepest benches in the league, if James learned to move the ball they would’ve done more. The offense has no flow. Also, Jamison averaged 16 and 8 at 45%fg for these playoffs. He’s not as bad as you fanboys are making out.

That’s why Lebron James triple doubles are a little misleading. When u have he ball in ur hands every possession ur bound to get a bunch of assists. He still needs to develop his long range and mid range game and also needs to be a lot more decisive when double teams come. The boy’s still got a lot to learn. Maybe he should attend a Kobe basketball camp after he wins another championship.

Larry Bird HATED the triple double. Don’t rememebr the exact quote but he said he could average a triple double for a season every year if he wanted but it serves no real purpose. You need to focus on winning, not getting numbers. That’s not a direct knock against James, but I do agree that his stats are misleading.

Are you the retard because they wouldn’t have won.

That was his point genius…

So he agrees with me but calls me a retard.

He was responding to Red?

ok drewh, I know sometimes ur a little slow on the uptake so let me type this slowly. MJ also wouldn’t have won without Pippen, Magic without Kareem, Shaq without Kobe! Ur not really this dense r u?

So what’s ur point? That it somehow diminishes Kobe’s first three championships but not Shaq’s or Jordan’s six? It does take talent around u but u also have to lead them. U can’t tell me LeGone didn’t have the talent this year but just couldn’t get it done again. Maybe NY with Bosh or something in 3 yrs from now. Someday maybe…

Celizic: LeBron betrays his own greatness

LeBron James took charge of the biggest game of his life like BP took charge of that oil spill in the Gulf. And there’s not an expert alive who can tell you for certain how long it’s going to take to clean up the damage.

He had a stat line that ended up looking pretty good: 27 points, 19 rebounds, 10 assists. The problem is that too much of it came too late. Then there were the nine turnovers; with one more, he’d have had the kind of quadruple double no one wants.

So it is that King James learned the hardest way possible that it takes more than a cloud of chalk dust to be a superstar in the NBA. And that MVP trophy - his second in as many years - isn’t much more than a glitzy doorstop. That was for the regular season, and it’s no longer relevant. In the postseason, there’s only one way you earn your superstar stripes, and that’s by winning.
