It all comes down to Lamar Odom. And he hasn’t shown up in 3 of these 4 games. And he’s talking about how it’s a team effort after last night’s loss when he got embarrassed by Big Baby. I’m starting to dislike Lamar again. The dude can’t f’n stand up when he’s needed. Bastard. Hopefully he’ll make me eat these words but I’m not counting on it.[/quote]
Man, there’s only 3 games left. Someone needs to pull Odom and to a lesser degree Artest aside and tell 'em to pull their heads out of their asses and fucking man up. “You’re getting paid millions of dollars to play a childs game and you can’t be consistent for 3 fucking games? Fine, we’re shopping you in the off-season and your wife will leave you to fuck another Laker 'cause she’s not moving to Milwaukee. Asshole”.

I dunno man, right before the Big Baby and Nate won the game for the Celts, Lamar Odom and Pau were making tough baskets and keeping them in the game. I’d say Odom’s been good for at least two games so far, and he wasn’t really needed in one of the games as Bynum was doing great.
So it’s not over for the Lakers. I think Odom will step it up.
IIRC, the call that made Rasheed go apeshit and get T’d up was a solid one. It was one of the earlier calls he got that was ridiculous, and the fact that he was in foul trouble for most of the game.
can somebody tell me why rhondo can’t make a wide open 12 foot jump shot? or a free throw?? IF he did this,he would be so fucking dangerous it would’t even be fair. Also, tony allen is the new kobe stopper!

'Cause he has bad mechanics and no confidence in his shot, and Kobe had 33 while playing way more minutes then he should’ve. Don’t know how you equate 33pts with being “stopped”…

You would think Ray Allen or someone else would work with him on his shooting, but it looks like no one has. And if they did, then there is no helping this guy.
I hate fat ass big baby but he has been absolutely killing the Lakers in Boston. I think thats the difference in this series right now. He and their bench ate up the Lakers lead in games 3 and 4. Without big baby this series is 3-1 and all but over IMO.
I think Odom, Artest and the rest of the Lakers will man up for game 5. I think the Lakers will look at game 5 the same way I do. If the Lakers win game 5 then the series is all but over. No way that Boston can go to LA and win two in a row. Hopefully they have that “go all out, game 7” type mentality for game 5.
Lol yeah when Bynum is in the game the Lakers are a different team but so are the Celtics when Allen, Pierce are making WIDE-OPEN shots and Rondo doesnt miss layups.
Without Derek Fisher this series is 3-1 for the Celtics. Dude whats your point?

you cant use the “when allen, pierce and rondo are making shots” arguement cause thats like saying "well if kobe never misses the lakers would have swept the Celtics. I was giving Big Baby his props for keeping the Celtics in this series.
Having Bynums big body in the game is a difference maker in and of itself dont you agree? Injuries are part of the game just like a player going cold and missing shots. We’ll just have to see who rises to the occasion cause whoever wins the next game takes control and its their Finals to lose.
Just like you randman and whiteflash say, I also agree that the Lakers are a better team on paper. However I also believe that each game is different and none of the on-paper stuff matters because its going to be about you wants it more and who plays better than who. From the onset of the playoffs I just didn’t think this Laker team plays that well, although technically “on paper” they look very dangerous.
The reason I say about Allen and Pierce not making wide open hots is because both of them have played horribly throughout the whole series, sans Allen in game 2. They missed wide open shots yesterday and game 3 because they exposed the Lakers defense. Listen to the commentators yesterday they’re still waiting for the Big Celtic 3 to start playing well. Celtics are playing awful offensively and their “superstars” are playing like its the regular season.
Tossing out a hypothetical for discussion sake: if the Celtics end up winning this series with the same type of play they have gotten so far(very spread scoring, different people stepping up every night); who wins MVP? Could it be possible for Kobe to get finals MVP in a losing effort this year?
I mean, living in the moment right now I almost want to say Davis is the Celtic’s MVP so far, maybe Rondo? Would one of them get it just because they won, or would the NBA go a little hockey on us and give it to the best performer of the series regardless of outcome(the Consmithe has been won be a losing player a handful of times).

I’d probably agree that Davis SHOULD get it for the C’s, but it would probably go Rondo. I could be wrong but to the best of my knowledge the only player to win Finals MVP on a losing team was Jerry West. Unless the numbers were just too dominant to pass up I doubt a losing player would get it in the modern era. Here’s hoping we don’t have to worry about that and the Lakers win this thing, haha.
