It’s funny you follow your team all season long and then when the finals roll around you wonder how the team you followed is even in the same LEAGUE as the Lakers and Celtics.
Game 3 was just awesome.

If we can get 4 more games like this(without the 2 minute and under officiating replays every 5 seconds) I don’t care who wins the title, that was an enjoyable basketball game to watch.[/quote]
Bryant just plain shot like shit tonight. I was surprised to see he ended with 29, then I realized it took him 29 attempts to get there. I expect a much better performance next game from him. It’s funny if you think about it, if Allen doesn’t go apeshit last game then the Lakers win even with Bryant being saddled with foul trouble. If he has even an average game tonight the Celtics win. Aside from game 1, this has been one of the sloppier Finals I remember watching. There will be spurts of great play then it goes into a 3 minute free-for-all. Even so, it’s been a lot of fun to watch. I expect next game to be fucking awesome.
Fish = clutch. He came up huge in the fourth quarter. And him getting the and 1 with three C’s trying to block him was ridick.
Obviously Ray Allen left his shooting back in game 2.
The craziest thing is that we’re 3 games in and we’ve yet to see either team really play a complete game(LA was close in game 1 but Odom was pretty MIA). Part of that is obviously a credit to the defense of these 2 teams, but I’m excited at the thought of a game 4/5/6 where they both throw all the punches they have(Kobe got his 29 but it took 30 shots, Pierce/Allen so off, Gasol DISAPPEARED tonight 13/10 is a joke for him in this matchup).

That Fisher sequence was odd. like Van Gundy mentioned the Celtics played the ball at halfcourt like the game was already over.

Ya I didn’t mean to sound like it’s been a ‘clean’ Finals by any means, but as far as entertainment value goes this is some good fucking television.
Damn! That was a great game. I LOVE the way the Lakers are beating these teams in many different ways in these last few finals. We beat the Suns by playing fast ball, we beat the celtics by establishing our aggression and playing a mid court game, they lost the next game but kobe was crippled with fouls as was odom and we still kept it close, then in this game Bryant was off and couldn’t finish but fisher steps up and so did Lamar.
Lakers 2010 Champions, you can’t deny it.
Agreed. I can’t think of anyother way to put it other than it has an almost NCAA tourney feel with the flow of the last 2 games. Like someone else mentioned [T, I think] I expect the next few games to be way crisper. You gotta think this doesn’t bode well for the Celtics though. Kobe had to take 29 shots to get his 29 and Gasol was basically nonexistent and the Lakers still took it to 'em.
I guess I shouldn’t say 2010 champs yet, I’ll give Celtics their props and say they are more than capable of coming back and winning.
I was just emphasizing that when a team can beat you from all angles, it’s not looking good, sorry Celtics fans.

Def. The C’s looked like they were just chillin, then had to play catch up of sorts to get to Fish.
I’m surprised Van Gundy actually made a good comment.
Lake Show, Drewh, Lake Show ![]()
Isn’t a new rule in play beginning with the Finals this year that all calls under 2m left in the game are reviewable? The refs are definitely taking advantage of that rule…

Really? Maybe I’m in the minority but I think Van Gundy’s a riot.

I think he’s great but Mark Jackson not so much.

Yeah I think he’s a riot too but offers average insight at best.
Similar to Rampage being a coach on TUF: he’s funny, but not a coach at all.
I guess to me JVG’s antics outweigh his analysis. But that’s just me.

actually u r dead wrong once again. They did in fact play fast ball most of the series and beat the Suns at their own game. Seriously, r u retarded?

LA guys, your thoughts on the Kobe/MJ comparisons after these past few games? He’s obviously still the most important player, but he hasn’t been all that “clutch” and hasn’t shot too well.
Also, you think all his injuries are a sign of more to come with his age, or is it just coincidence that he’s had a bunch of injuries in the past few months?
Dude, he had a magnificent game 1, was taken out of game 2 by the refs, and still had a pretty good game 3. Not his most efficent game but his defense, rebounding and hustle plays were also huge tonight.
If you notice over on the sidelines he was the vocal leader for his team tonight. It’s his leadership abilities that are overlooked a lot.
He’ll have many more productive years ahead of him. He’s a tireless worker and will heal up just fine in the offseason. To look at these three games in this finals and then trying to do MJ comparisons is kinda retarded to be honest wih you.
It sounds like you have a veiled agenda looking at these three games by themselves and questioning his MJayness which again isreally retarded. I’ve seen Jordan have plenty of less than perfect playoff games. Whether anyone likes it or not, Kobe is on his wayto catch and possibly surpass Jordan’s championship ring haul.
