Yeah, the Fiesta Bowl match up does nothing for me. Although, for OU’s BCS Bowl game failures, this game with UConn might be appropriate. OU should win comfortably, assuming they show any interest, and they return next season with nearly the whole team intact…probably with a top five ranking.

As a side note, I’m hearing some news/rumor that Kevin Wilson is talking to the U. of Indiana regarding their head coaching vacancy.
at least Oklahoma might finally win a BCS game :)
If they don’t beat UConn (for fuck’s sake), the U. of Oklahoma should self impose the death penalty on the football program for an unprecedented level of Fail.

You put the number 1 team in the SEC against the number 1 team in the PAC10 and then 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3. I doubt the PAC would win a game. They might once you get down to the bottom of the pile but I still doubt it then. Put the SEC against any other conference the same way and the results would be the same.
Not sure I buy this. The Big 10 has matched up quite well with the SEC teams it has played in Bowl games the last several years.

^^Really? Well we will find out in a month. Number 1 Pac10 vs Number 1 SEC in the national championship game… and number 2 Big10 and Number 2 SEC in the sugar bowl. We’ll see how your little prediction goes
Deal. I’ll bet you an internet dollar that the SEC takes both. If we lose both then I will clarly and loudly state that the PAC-10 is a better conf than the SEC.
the SEC HAS to win both for your aguement to hold up… after looking at the bowl matchups the SEC has to win EVERY ONE OF ITS BOWLS except South Carolina vs Florida State for your top to bottom win against every other conference argument to hold up.

Why are people sleeping on Va Tech? Its like an hour and a half away from me so I have seen a lot of them, saw JMU Dukes embarrass them, and they haven’t lost since. How is Stanford’s defense? Techs offense is dangerous, and well, with Beamer I don’t feel the need to mention defense and special teams. BTW, I am a huge tech hater and I would love to see them get absolutely wrecked.

VT is on a roll they have won 11 straight games. Stanford should be playing Wisconsin in the Rose bowl that would be a good matchup for them. I agree that the acc is not very good but the pac doesn’t have too many ranked teams either. They have #2 and an overranked #4 who haven’t beat any ranked teams. The pac 10 is the worst of the four big conferences. There is a good chance the pac goes 0 - 4 in bowl games.
you obviously dont know much about or dont watch much college football if you say that the pac10 has a #2 team in the country that “hasnt beat any ranked teams.”

also LMAO at “the pac 10 is the worst of the four big conferences.”
Stanford is who i was talking about that doesn’t have a win against a ranked program. I just think it is a down year for the pac 10 we will see how it turns out.

Oregon has 1 win against a ranked team they killed Stanford.

Yeah and the Big 12 now becomes the Big 12 - 2 and nobody thinks we could beat the WAC. :frowning:
Are they still going to call it the Big 12? I hope they add a few teams to the conference and get the Big 12 title game back, it will be weird next year not seeing that being played.

thats not how it works brah. It goes by the ranking of the team when you play them.

if the end of the season rankings were what counted then no one would have beaten the number 1 team in the country (even though it happened 3 weeks in a row) cause after thee loss they wouldnt be number one anymore lol

yeah I get that but when it comes down to it when you beat a team that is ranked #15 in the case of arizona and they go on to lose the next 3 games it doesn’t seem like much of a quality win anymore.

All i’m saying is the strength of schedule is determined at the end of the season not the beginning.
