VT is on a roll they have won 11 straight games. Stanford should be playing Wisconsin in the Rose bowl that would be a good matchup for them. I agree that the acc is not very good but the pac doesn’t have too many ranked teams either. They have #2 and an overranked #4 who haven’t beat any ranked teams. The pac 10 is the worst of the four big conferences. There is a good chance the pac goes 0 - 4 in bowl games.
you obviously dont know much about or dont watch much college football if you say that the pac10 has a #2 team in the country that “hasnt beat any ranked teams.”
also LMAO at “the pac 10 is the worst of the four big conferences.”
Two guys enter only one man leaves. You know the rules of Thunderdome!

Stanford VS Va Tech is pretty good but the ACC sucks and I wish Stanford coulda played someone from a different conference. It would have been nice to see them play Arkansas… That way the pac10 would go 2-0 I’m BCS games against all that “SEC SPEED” and shut up the stupid media. (I HATE when news people talk about the ‘SEC speed’ but I won’t get into that lol)
Wait. You think we would get steamrolled by Stanford?
reading comprehension fail… Where did i say you “would get steamrolled by stanford?”
Obvious case of a person blinded by their fanhood lol. We’ll see how well Arkansas does against Ohio State… If you guys lose to the biggest BCS choke artists of all time I’m going to laugh. Arkansas is a pretty good team. Coachin… not so much. The coaches lost them the game against Auburn with their shitty conservative playcalling after they got the lead. Good coaching wins BCS games
For the record I’m NOT a Stanford fan… N…O…T a St… Stan… Stanfor… Stanford fan (I know you like to spell things out for emphasis)

OSU beat the flavor of month, Oregon Ducks, last year in the Rose Bowl.

I knew we’d end up with UConn, so I’ve pretty much had no interest in the bowl season once I realized where we would be heading. I think the Nebraska game was our bowl game.
And as for us getting into the title game over aTm on a technicality instead of “winning it on the field…” Well…aTm lost it on the field…
^ Hahahahahaha I was waiting for you or Dustin to come in here putting me in my place. I congrats you in another thread. It is a moot point after this year, no more conference championship games.

Fanhood has nothing to do with it actually. The stats speak for themselves. I know you aren’t a St…Stan…Stanfo…Standford fan. But you’re allegiance to Pac-10 is glaringly obvious. We lost to Auburn through a combination of piss-poor defense and the fact that Mallett got slammed down and was taken out of the game. Our backup QB came in and scored 4 touchdowns himself. How is that “conservative”? You don’t have a final score of 65 - 43 with “conservative” playcalling.
Now I’ll admit you didn’t throw out “steamrolled” but your clear assumption that Arkansas would automatically lose to a clearly inferior Stanford team was pretty obvious. Hence my “vigorous” response.

clearly inferior? according to what? The AP Poll? The Coaches Poll? The BCS Poll? Or an Arkansas fan(you)?

Yeah, the Fiesta Bowl match up does nothing for me. Although, for OU’s BCS Bowl game failures, this game with UConn might be appropriate. OU should win comfortably, assuming they show any interest, and they return next season with nearly the whole team intact…probably with a top five ranking.
As a side note, I’m hearing some news/rumor that Kevin Wilson is talking to the U. of Indiana regarding their head coaching vacancy.

Again, strength of schedule cannot be ignored. Can I help it that they are near the bottom and yet somehow they warrant a high rating? No. Can I disagree with it? Sure but it won’t do any good. It’s always interesting to me, and most of the fans within the SEC, to hear the frustration of other conferences fans when “analysts” pay so much respect to the SEC for various reasons. Other fans won’t pay us the respect most of the time, some do, but other just piss and moan about it with no substantiation to back it up.
You put the number 1 team in the SEC against the number 1 team in the PAC10 and then 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3. I doubt the PAC would win a game. They might once you get down to the bottom of the pile but I still doubt it then. Put the SEC against any other conference the same way and the results would be the same.
Stanford hasn’t played anybody of note, and when they have, they lost. Just because they are in a BCS conference, doesn’t mean they warrant any respect to go along with it.

^^Really? Well we will find out in a month. Number 1 Pac10 vs Number 1 SEC in the national championship game… and number 2 Big10 and Number 2 SEC in the sugar bowl. We’ll see how your little prediction goes

Deal. I’ll bet you an internet dollar that the SEC takes both. If we lose both then I will clarly and loudly state that the PAC-10 is a better conf than the SEC.

Yeah and the Big 12 now becomes the Big 12 - 2 and nobody thinks we could beat the WAC.
